I am five weeks pregnant. I want to abort the baby.I have used 800microgram cytotec(misoprisol) vaginally yesterday in afternoon. Later I didn't bleed nothing happened but still the tablets are coming melted from my vagina.I think I didn't place it at the right site or couldn't insert deeply although I tried to push it deep as far as I could and lied down for a couple of hours.. that's why today in the morning I changed the route and inserted 800ug sublingually. Please tell me if it would work because 12hours have passed and I'm not bleeding yet. Kindly help me. I changed the route may be that's why its not working. I am alone I can't share it with anyone and my boy friend have left me alone in this condition. I am broken and hurt badly.

My short reading on some web sites, show this drug alone is about 68 to 88 percent effective, so it does not cause abortion all the time and has a failure rate.

You need to discuss this with the doctor and if not working, try a different combination of the drug. Or use an medical abortion.

Also be aware of some of the personal health safety risk in using this drug

If you are a doctor yourself, then you should know the importance of having proper care from a physician. So go see your OB/Gyn.

Nobody here can give you an abortion... and nobody here can prescribe you any medication to do it. You as a doctor would know that... as well as what you would need and where you could get it. You can actually do more in this situation than we can.

So travel outside your country, take a short vacation to where you can have an abortion, heaven knows, they do 1000's of abortions here in China every day.

While I wasn't actively pregnant when I took those I do know how they work (I miscarried). My doctor gave me two doses of two pills, so like you I inserted them. The difference I did was drop a few drops of water on them to start the dissolving process so it would go quicker. I had two doses in case the first one didn't work well. If you have another dose try getting them a bit wet and inserting them all the way to the back of your cervix.
