OK I just turned 29 and in April I was 10 days late for my period I got excited and thought for sure I was pregnant but I wasn't!! I have 2 kids and always found out at 2 weeks that I was pregnant with them! So now here it is July and I am 11 days late for my period and don't feel at all pregnant but don't feel at all like I am going to start my period either!! I don't know what is going on except for these two time I have NEVER been late for my period unless pregnant! I have not changed anything and am not stressed about anything or taking any medications! Can anyone tell me what might be going on here?? I am sooo confused!!

All women go through times of irregularity at some point in there life; you are normal! Have you taken a HPT yet?

Stress and medications aren't the only reason for a delayed period. Have you read this yet?

In addition, our hormones are constantly changing, and they change our cycle right along with them. This is another reason for our delayed periods. No matter how regular you have ever been, you will experience irregularity every once in a while.

The only way to be sure is take an HPT at the time you are 2 weeks late, using your first morning urine as it is the most accurate, or go to your doctor and get a blood test done.

No I haven't because I took two the last time this happened and they were negative and I don't feel pregnant with my 2 kids and 1 misscariage I new I was pregnant after 2 weeks!! I would love to be pregnant but it is not a have to have type of thing so I am not stressing over that I just think it weird to be late like this and not pregnant because it has only happened twice to me!

Every pregnancy is different. Just because you felt pregnant with your other two, doesn't mean it will be that way if you get pregnant again. It is still best to take a test, whether it be urine or blood.

You need to take a HPT just in case! All pregnancies are different; just because you knew with the last two doesn't mean you will feel the same the next time around ;)

So do I wait to take a test until I am 14 days late or do I take one now?

Wait until you are at LEAST 14 days late, that way if you are pregnant the hCG has had time to build up in your system enough to detect on the test.

If it still says negative, I recommend to get the blood test done with your doctor.

A quantitative blood test at that! These are WAY more accurate. You could actually do one of those now if you can get in at your doctor's office.

So with my other pregnancies I never needed a blood test I peed on a cheap stick and right when I would stop peeing on it I would look at it and BAM pregnant!! I think tomorrow night after church I will go to wal-mart and get one if I haven't started my period by then but I know it will be negative! Thank you everyone I will keep you posted

So today I thought I was going to start my period because I felt yucky and my stomach was aching really bad!! But then I got diarrhea really bad sooo I don't know what is going on there!! I really thought I was going to start and I still feel yucky like PMS but not sick

I think you need to see a doctor about getting a blood test. Every pregnancy is different. Just because it was detected by an HPT before, doesn't mean it will this time. Whether positive or negative, it will put your mind at ease and you will know what is going on.

You can get bad diarrhea when pregnant, but it can also be your period coming or a bug. You might want to get a qualatative blood test at your local hospital. They aren't much more expensive then an hpt, and are more accurate. However, they still only give a positive or negative reading, so if you are pregnant, but your hcg levels aren't high enough to register, they still might not show on a qualatative blood test. The next step would be to wait until you have missed a second period, then go to your doctor. They can do an exam to check for more defining signs of pregnancy such as an enlarged uterus(though if you have had previous pregnancies, your uterus will never be completely back to pre-pregnancy shape.), as well as the blueish purple tinting of the cervix/vaginal area due to increased blood flow.they may also order a quantative blood test. Most doctors won't order this until you are alteast a month late, and have already had a qualatative blood test done. The quantative blood test is not always covered by insurance companies so it may be out of pocket, and is more expensive. However, it gives the exact amount of hcg in your blood system. If the levels are high enough to suggest pregnancy, the test will be repeated within a few days to determine if the levels are doubling as they should in a normal pregnancy.

Thank you!! I will probably wait on taking a home test till morning but I will for sure go buy one tonight if I haven't started by then!! I sure feel like my period is coming today but it just isn't which is not normal for me at all

OK So I couldn't wait and I took an EPT last night and it was negative then I took another EPT this morning with my first urine and it to was negative and I think I had the flu bug with the stomach cramps and diarrhea going on it lasted about 24 hours still fill yucky today but no more diarrhea PRAISE THE LORD!! But... Still no period and I was supposed to start the 20th!!

Humm... I would see your doctor and have them perform and blood test to rule out pregnancy and help you figure out why you are irregular!

If your period doesn't come soon you might want to get a blood test done by your doctor as well, just to be sure. :)

Yeah I am really thinking I am NOT pregnant but I will let you know either way!! I am not going to bother going to the doctor I have been pregnant 3 times and all three I could tell I was pregnant and this time I am just really late on my period!! Hey everyone I just started my period!! So now I am back to my original cycle date!! I am going to take care of some medical issues I have then I am going to TRY to get pregnant!! Wish me luck if I can't get pregnant before I turn 30 then I isn't having any more kids!! I have one year to do it! Thank you everyone
