If you had intercourse around the time of bleeding, the bleeding could have been caused by the intercourse. Remember that IB has not been medically proven. There are a number of reasons that women bleed around the implantation period that have nothing to do with implantation.

Look at it this way. The egg, when implanting, is microscopic. Something that small implanting does not cause bleeding or we would bleed with most any kind of infection.

Please read this sticky for the low down on implantation bleeding.

Usually a positive is a positive. Rarely is there a false positive. Try testing again in the morning.

    Am I pregnant?
Today I posted that I had got a faint positive line... and my question was... is it still positive if it gets darker.. I had the same problem before and I found out I was pregnant!! And also I couldn't wait so I took another test and it also had a very light line and they both keep getting darker... does this mean I am pregnant?? please help very confused!! please and thank you

I'm sure the darker the ink, the more the urine has been exposed.. pee in a cup and dip. If it's a faint plus sign, I'd say the test came out positive.. go the doctor asap.

Its something to do wth how much hormone is in your urine. The longer you wait the more there will be, but yes a line is a line.
    Congrats!xx

Remember that the results are only accurate for a certain time. Usually about 10 minutes. Anything result you get after ten minutes is not necessarily an accurate result.

Try the Clear Blue Easy tests, the one that uses the words "positive" or "negative." That way you will know for sure.

Okay so you 've done two tests with thin/visible lines-do you want us to retell you that you are pregnant? Go to the doc-get a blood test and find ot for sure if you still feel unsure..

Absolutely. Too many think reading the test outside the proper use time means something.

Also, test first thing in the morning when hormones are most concentrated.

    Blood resultss
I am going to get my blood results in tomorrow... I wanted to ask one more question.. how long after conception does it take for HCG to be found on a blood test.. I just want to ask because I don't no if I went in to early... even though I got a positive HPT... but if you can let me no I would really apreciate it thanks.. :)

Implantation has to occur prior to the hCG being able to show up in your blood. The production of hCG usually takes place a week or two after fertilization. So, the longer you wait, i.e. usually after a missed period, the better your chances.

I agree with J_9 my doctor told me to wait at least 5 days after my missed period to get an accurate results. If you didn't wait till after your missed period your doctor may suggest doing another test to be sure.

    Could I still be pregnant?
I have a problem... I went to take blood work and I got the results back today and they said it came back negative.. I don't understand I took 3 HPT and they came back positive.. and for the past few days I have been waking up needing to throw up... there is no other reason why I would be throwing up.. I think I went to do the blood work to early I have irregular periods... and I usually have my periods around the 3rd-10th of every month... is it to early that I tested could I still be pregnant? I just have this feeling that I am and that the blood results were wrong!

You may have taken it to early or you got false positives on your HPT. Go back to your doctor and tell him to redue the blood test.

You should go back to the doctors and ask for another blood test, but you should always hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Blood test normaly pick up even the slightest hormoan level change... but I wish you good luck~ suck with twins~

There may be another reason for elevated hormone levels-as above, get another test.

After an abortion, your hormones level need some time to adjust back to normal levels. To answer your question regarding your pregnancy, you may need another ultrasound or a blood test to be able to accurately tell you. Best wishes.

If you got a positive in the allotted time, regardless of which brand it was, it is positive. Anything after that time will be suspect. It sounds like two of your tests were within the time allowed. If you have any question as to the accuracy, try one more test in a few days or ask your doctor for one in the office to confirm.

Any test may have them... if directions were followed for the particular test... how much urine, when to read the results, etc. you would not get an evaporation line that quickly.
