I bet the boyfriend runs when he realizes he will have to get a job and spend the next 18+ years paying to raise the child, not to mention the diaper changes... sleep deprivation etc, etc... something almost NO teenage boy or very young man actually grasps... Its easy to say he'll stay before reality sinks in. Being you only just learned the POSSIBILITY is there... its 100% certain he is in denial right now... acceptance is a long way off... long after panic sets in.

I know guys...what they think..how they think....and I've known a lot of guys that have been in that same situation...

The guy that young that really does stick around, ( and by that I mean more than a few weeks, months or years) mans-up and owns up to the situation is the exception rather than the rule.

I just talked to a consultant, she gave me an address to a clinic 4 minutes from my house who will charge no money for a pregnancy test and care. I will tell my stepmom tonight about what's going on and hopefully we will take an appointment ( if everything goes well).

I cannot do anythig about that. I am just hoping I'm not pregnant and if I am, I hope to be able to get an abortion.

Planned parenthood in the US, is free. Go before you leave the US. But realize that at 1 week late, even a blood test may not accurately determine if you're pregnant. Some women get negatives on both urine tests and blood tests, for months. Some only find out they're actually pregnant when they give birth. It happens, enough so that TV shows have been made about it.

As for timing. Any time, even if you're on your period, you have sex, pregnancy is possible. Even if you use three or more forms of birth control. So if abortion is illegal where you live, and sex before marriage is illegal, and you don't want to get caught with either, than I have to be harsh and suggest that you keep your pants on until you're ready for sex and pregnancy. It's really not a hard thing to figure out, even at the age of 17.

I hope you're not pregnant. If you are, I hope you get the outcome you want. If you're not, I hope you learn from this and don't make the same mistake that could lead to a pregnancy in the future, until you're ready.

Being pregnant now is no longer in your hands, if you are, you are, and you'll have to figure that out. Making decisions for the future is in your hands. So you don't have to hope. You have to plan, and stick to the plan.

If you dodge the bullet this time, get lucky and you're not pregnant, than you have to take this scare as a big lesson. If your boyfriend of 4 years really loves you, he'll wait until you're both ready for sex and all the consequences of sex.

    Good luck. :)

We talked about it and decided to wait until we are older to have sex.
I will take a blood test hopefully and if its positive I will get an abortion hopefully. If its possible. If not then I don't know what I will do...
