Well I don't know what kind of prenatels to take do you have any suggestions! Over the counter brands of course cause I don't have an appointment yet but thanks for all your help

Materna is the ones that I know.

All the ones here are over the counter. If they are behind we just ask and they give it to you.

I guess it is different everywhere.

You should be taking prenatals before even becoming pregnant, but the sooner you start them the better. I take the ones from GNC. They have their own, they don't cost much, and they are flavorless. I used to take their women's vitamins and they have a flavor to them that you would burp and taste (gross). What makes you think you may be pregnant now? It really doesn't matter who gives the first grandchild. As long as all the little babies are healthy everyone will be elated! Good luck and hopefully you are already pregnant. If you aren't please don't stress yourself out. It will happen when it's supposed to.

Yes start taking them now, regardless of whether you are pregnant or not. You can get them anywhere... most are about the same. Then once you go to the doctor, get a prescrip for them. I agree with automansgirl- the timing is not important. The grandparents will be equally as elated over the second grandchild as the first... besides if she is already pregnant, she will most likely go first...

Prenatals are often not prescribed by doctors (at least around here) unless you are pregnant, but still take a daily multivitamin. My doctor actually recommended flinstones chewables, 1 a day, because they will not be too powerful for the fetus if you become pregnant but they deliver the necessary vitamins to help your body. Also, she suggested taking a folic acid supplement, which apparently helps with the brain development of the baby.

:p well today I went to the bathroom and I notice a little blood on my panties so I put a tampon on then when I went to change it it was clean is this a sign that I'm starting my period or that I'm having implantation bleeding my periods never start like this I usually get headaches before I start my period this is very unusual:confused: and I can't go to the doctor till next Wednesday when I have my appointment for a pregnancy test at the clinic I have already taken 2 HPT and both came out negative :( but I still haven't got my period and I'm a week late is this anything I should be concern about?

It is good that you have started your prenatels just in case. I would say any sign of bleeding should be checked out. Even call the doctors office to let them know. So they are aware. Or even get it checked out sooner. At the same time it is normal to have very minute amounts of bleeding. You yourself said it is a tiny bit. Best wishes for you and when you get all checked out.

It could be implantation bleeding. Also, just to let you know, I took a test at 7 days late and it came back negative. Took another one at 10 days late and it finally came back positive. You could still be pregnant, you just have to be patient. Besides, that's all you do when you are pregnant anyway! Now that I'm pregnant I feel like time is moving so slowly! I know that I will look back on it and realize that it flew by, though. I hope you get that positive you've been looking for. Just try and stay relaxed until you go to the doc this week. Good luck!!

:confused: well the last couple of months I've been trying to get pregnant and I think I am!! :D well I was suppose to go to the doctor today but he had to cancel because he got the flu or at least that's what they told me! I have been felling kind of strange lately... I'm always tired but can't seem to fall asleep at night! I am bleeding on and off every day there's sometimes I go to the bathroom and I'm bleeding and then I go 5 to 10 minutes later and I'm not! I have been using the bathroom more then I usually was my breast are getting extremely sore every day my nipples look bigger(well that's what my boyfriend and I have notice) I have another doctors appointment next Wednesday!!


I would appreciate any answers before then!! :)

Well I already took a hpt but it came out negative and then they gave me some advice and told me to make a doctors appointment! I hope it's the first one thought!!

Well I know this might sound weird but what kind of doctor should I make an appointment with! I might be pregnant and would like to find out I have spottings :eek: and my breast are sore my nipples look bigger then usual and I am always feeling sick after I eat and in the mornings I never want to get out of bed I just want to sleep all day but I have to force myself out of bed!! Me and my boyfriend are trying to have a baby we have been trying for a while I already took a pregnancy test and it came out negative but I took the test to soon!

This would be my first child if I am pregnant I'm so excited and my boyfriend is so happy that we might be having a child together! Any information will be helpful!! :p

You're trying to get pregnant and you don't know what kind of doctor you need to see? You should have probably researched this a little more before you started trying. Make an appointment with your family physician first and have them refer you to a good obstetrician for you and your baby.

Well I did plenty of research but then my computer crashed and lost everything so I had to start from scratch again but I don't have a family physician to make an appointment with when we get sick and my mom can't treat it she take us to the emergency room yeah I know its kind of weird but that's how she did it! I have been trying to find a physician but they can be so expencive and I have to wait till I have medicade to go to the doctor! Are these syntoms of pregnancy?

Sweetie, if you cannot afford a visit to the doctor I am certain you're not ready to have a baby. A baby takes A LOT of work and while there's medicaid and other programs of that sort, they will NOT cover everything. You also shouldn't be relying on your mom still to take you to the doctor if you're PLANNING a pregnancy. You seriously need to evaluate things before you plan on bringing a baby into this world.

Well I don't depend on my mother anymore I have been living on my own since I was 16 years old and even though I do depend on medicaid I also depend on my boyfriend we know how much this will cost we have already checked on doctors and we are willing to make sacrifices for us to start our own family we have support on my side and his side of the families! I know I am ready I have done all the research possible and I am just confirming all my research from women who are mothers already to make sure we have all our information correct! LuvMyMaltipoo is correct, in this case you should see a gyno/obgyn. If you don't have the money to get in there for a check up, it'll be hard to get in for those monthly appointments(if pregnant), so I hope you are avidly trying to get on medicaid right now. In the meantime, go to a planned parenthood, or see if you can work out a payment schedule with a gyno/obgyn. Good luck
