Do you have a family doctor? If so, please call them. They will be able to give you more information about abortion, where to get one safely, how much it will cost, and the health issues that may be associated with an abortion.

If your doctor WILL NOT do this (some won't because of personal belief) you can call a pregnancy hotline and get the name of a doctor that will.

You have the right to be counseled on ALL of your options before making your choice, remember. I know all too well the panic that hits when you find out you're pregnant and don't want to be. Make sure you're making your decision with a clear head, not in panic.

And yeah... I agree with a previous poster: let the father know that child support of one year is going to be a heck of a lot more than coughing up the money NOW for an abortion.

Good luck to you. I've been where you are now, and it's not a fun place to be. If you need to talk, let me know.

Heartbreaker, like another above I cannot speak to the money part of it, but I can't help but recognize that you titled this thread "is the only choice" but then in your post you say you're "thinking about it".

... sounds to me like you recognize that it's not "the only choice".

(If you'd have only asked about how to get the money, I'd have not responded at all)

Your family doctor or ob-gyn may be able to help out. Also you could talk to Planned Parenthood, maybe you can work out payments or something. There are counselors there you can talk to. Also if you want to consider other options, you could contact a crisis pregnancy center for information etc. You can find them online or in the yellow pages. A pregnancy hotline might also help you.

I'm glad you came back. Too many times people ask questions and never return. I am trying not to have this thread turn into an attack on you for your decision. If you see anything like that, please use the Report link and we will remove it.

You originally said 2 months? But you still have a little time to make sure of your decision. Have you visited a Planned Parenthood clinic?

You said now that your only 3 weeks? In your original post you said two months. Can I ask which is it?
I am glad you came back to and looked through all the posts. It is your decision and your decision alone to make. Take care and hope the best for you and all involved.

    This might help you out

    plannedparenthod.org

That link discusses different options and things to consider.

To find a Planned Parenthood near you and discuss options you can call 1-800-230-PLAN

Their website says that costs for first trimester abortions costs between $300 and $700 depending on circumstances and the clinic you go to. It says the cost goes up after the first trimester. If you decide that you want an abortion, maybe it would help to call and talk, maybe you can work payments out or something like that. Hope this helps!
