I was thinking about taking women studies, and as I mentioned, I thought about online and distance education but I decided it wasn't for me. But thanks for the info Emland.
I think some lost track of the actual question though... I was just wondering if going to university while having elemtary school aged kids are hard, or getting pregnant while in university was harder.

I think it all depends on how you handle stress, how well are you at multi-tasking, things like that. There are some that prefer to be that busy and some that like to focus in on one thing. Do you think you would go back to school after the kids were settled? There are so many things that they can get involved in. We have friends that have two kids and there after school activities consume a lot of time. And they just have one sport each.
Raising kids is challenging, no matter what the situation. You just need to know yourself and what you can handle.

If I had to say which is harder, I would say having elementary kids would be harder. (that could be because that is what I have)

But, another thing to shift the scale is your support system. If you have a strong support system of people that can help you out with things - anything is possible.

My last pregnancy was so difficult and my daughter didn't sleep for 2 years after her birth. I can't imagine trying to take classes during while getting no sleep.

My husband and I want to have kids young, and by young I mean before I'm 25 I want to have my first. But I still want to go to college...
When I have kids I want to be a stay at home mom until they go to school so I was thinking of waiting to go to college until they go to school, and I will go to college at the same time. Has anyone of you guys done that? Is it hard to balance all of that at once. Or perhaps getting pregnant while in college?
I don't want to go to college first and then have kids because then I would be just taking all that time off before starting a job to stay at home with my kids. No one would probably hire me if I went to college then took a few years off with no working experience after college.

So my question is: Is it hard to go to college when you have kids that are elemantary school aged. Or, should I start having babies while in college??

No youdo not have any more babies until you are done with school OK...

So for Chery, who wanted to know what I decided... I decided to go along with having kids and going to university once they start elementary school.
I know some people dissagree and think I shouldn't have any ties to a spouse and children while in school but I think that is the way for me.
    :)

My crystal ball told me that that is what your gut feeling was from the beginning, dear.

Again, good luck, and enjoy your life and family.

I think that is a great idea. You kid(s) will be old enough to take care of themselves a little bit and you can do your homework together at the kitchen table. You could also go part time and have your classes and homework done before the kid(s) get home.

    Good Luck!

Well I am 21 and I have 2 kids, they are 12 months apart! I went to Cosmotogegy school and I got pregnant while I was in it, but it only takes abot 10 months to go through that! I don't work because my husband is a truck driver and he's going to a lot! I love being home with my children, I don't miss any of the BIG steps in life! I'm going back to college, I'm just going to take a couple of classes at the school and the rest online! Just remember if you do decide to go ahead with a little one then you might just decide to get in school after it's born because you'll more than likely need a break and you'll need an outlet like me! Good Luck on your decision!
