So SO health insurances. I be real Curious as what was left out on the SLIDE Difference of what the medical end of the union auto to non union auto In the ACTUAL operating cost of hiring that auto worker. Or maybe when you read that it was what!!

Did the Union Report state that the non Union Auto workers work harder than the Union Workers did!!!!! I've lived the differences on the Docks to SEE IT. The Unions have Greatly went the other way. It was originally to help abuse of a worker in labor and fair wages. Now its helps LAZY workers because its gotten so lopsided. Again I'm the Expert on that and Lived it. So talaniman I guarantee you will NEVER see that truth in a UNION REPORT!!

So use YOUR common SENSE as to what do you think "The UNION officials" are going to, HAVE to report its close in pay to non Union to justifier Them being in existence. If not and it was close to the same then what. Don't forget Union dues which comes out of EVERY PAYCHECK from that Employees actual pay!! The more they Slant the report the more DUES!! they get. The Union is a business not a protection to that sense. Its a business of more more sales to keep them afloat and justify there existence. So believe what you want I WAS A UNION WORKER WERE YOU. I saw the differences, which ironically is about the same spread as the numbers I REPORTED as Well as The live NEWS right after Obamas speech this past week.

Who do you think RAN the Mafia Unions to begin with. The Report your reading is like asking a drug dealer on a corner street do you think the drugs here are higher than the other side of town. Do you think theres a lot of illegal drug activity here?! Boy how naive people have become. OH lets not forget that most ALL media is pro liberal. I become that TRUTHFULLY REPORT my paycheck proves it and so does my Brothers and the workers there. So at that point and time I WAS the EXPERT I didn't need to read a Union Report. The numbers I heard last week is almost exactly the same difference in spread ( scale difference ) from 1981 to 2009.

I have been running a business for over 20 years and if I had to pay even $1.50 an hour more than my competitor at the same business I'm in Hello So what here paying ANY measurable difference in auto workers is want, Oops I forgot to mention how the Toyota etc taxes are complied differently for our foreign competes that manufacture here. Could also explain why Ford Motor company was in Africa. or Johnson and Jonson and Major drug Companies are in Puerto Rico Tax breaks!! Hershey foods building a big plant In MEXICO. It keeps the unions out or weak in power too. So do the simple economics hear and see how the real report is. Oh the unions also was one of the silent biggies to help push real hard to get the law changed in the U.S. to get the sticker MADE in the USA. So the Assembly was done here so THEY wouldn't Loose their DUES they live on.

Just so you know I have nothing against unions they helped stop child/women slavery in our factories during the start of out industrial revolution. But in a GLOBAL economy it will NEVER work and is hurting us to adjust to that world economy. Ironically Thats EXACTLY what gave the foreign auto industry its strong foot hold to take DOWN the top 3 US Giant auto Companies. I bet that is not on the front page of ANY Union Report!

My dad work for another Union in Armstrong World Industries which between that and the asbestos suits took a fortune 500 company to its knees and couldn't compete in the non Union Global Economy. So I feel I'm one of the EXPERTS here on unions so what union do you belong to talanim ? Ive sat listen to MY Union reports and Knows how that Goes

The bushies did not BUILD GETMO and its been used for the COLD WAR for a LONG TIME for the same thing so again how naive people are today. What ever happened to common sense here. Make sure you include the tax breaks that Japanese car companies get for putting plants here in the US. ( of which Toyota has closed 9/10 assembly lines today ) and just curious, how do you expect to compete in the global economy when the American workers are on food stamps? Ya think the rest of the world can make money without the biggest consumers in the world? Can your own workers afford to buy what they make? Just curious. I agree with some points hear.

As an arrogant American I hope not but I think we missed that one. The development of India and I believe they just past the double pop mark is an untapped market and just getting Started like China did years ago. Speaking of the auto industry and all of the buyers there for the $2,500 $3,000 car. Think how that market is going to swing as we the big three are in BAD shape.

I understand where you are coming from. Last week on a show it was said China makes over 80% of the children toys for the U.S. 60 minutes in the 80s, It was about other countries not paying there fair share in U.S. taxes The way that worked on importing VCRs was the foreign Company shipped VCRs to an island that had a "Holiday Tax" what ever that was I will never forget the words? Shipped from there to the U.S. and claimed the only made a couple of dollars profit on the sale of one VCR. They weren't cheap on ratio to the 80s paycheck.

I'm not an expert on our immigration U.S. laws but as I understood there was and probably still is a 5 year tax break for minorities Business here for whatever U.S. criteria was met.

It was inevitable we were going to crash. Between the rising powers in demand for products and the unbalance of comparable cost in there cheap help in foreign countries to ours it is and was to lopsided and it caught up. Of course our 55 billion leaving the U.S. didn't help and sped that along and collapsed the house of cards, which was mentioned back in the Clinton years and from then to now I feel they all screwed up.

The food stamps and welfare has its place but its not policed properly. And its one of those BIG growing markets that is So abused, So badly so that just this past summer a city police officer was at my job site because, of stolen tools again, and he told me he arrested a person that had 3 recent Welfare checks on him. NY. NJ. Pa. He called NY and they said oh well, can't do anything about it.

Obama wants and is starting more welfare and its to help America. Huh That what's went so wrong in time since it started. I have a simple solution to help stop some big abuse of Gov Checks. Random Drug Test to get a Gov Check. Why not. Basically Gov. big business are required to drug test employees for insurance reasons etc. So why not have it for Welfare checks and food stamps. SO I feel the whiplash here will hurt more than help the U.S.
Get back to you on that auto comparable and will check on the diff in base pay and I feel the tax brake will offset that a lot when middle and upper management pay rates compared to Toyota etc Good point no matter what in the broad sense.

To answer the original question, everybody is watching Obama. I find it creepy that so many people have a sort of cult adoration of him, however. I'm a skeptic. It won't take much to do better than Bush, you know?

Even though I voted for John McCain, I think the larger good was served by showing the world that the United States was finally mature enough to elect a man whose father was a black Kenyan and whose mother was a white American.

As someone from outside the US, who holds an American as well as an Irish passport, the day he was inaugurated was one of the first days in a long time that I had felt proud to say I was an American citizen. He has inspired the world, and for the first time in a long time America can hold it's head up high.

So do I think he will fail?

Realistically how can he not with the insurmountable expectations piling up on him.

The important thing right now is where is your 800 billion or so is going? The state I am from has 16% going to infrastructure, and 72%to health and education. If this is a trend across the country (not to question the importance of health and education-but) we will have the healthiest, smartest peasants ever to scrounge for scraps of food since Grapes of Wrath days.

I think its takes more than a month to come in and repair, the damages done to this country over the last few years.

Government has never ever been able to Fix ANY problems, They are the cause of the problems we have today. Congress is the biggest culprit in the financial mess we are seeing today. You cannot continue to blame one political party when it is abundantly clear that both parties have had a major hand in this mess. Only solution enact term limits, and vote everyone of them out of office as soon as possible.

And for you I rather like for you to ignore my post instead of trying to be my teacher here... am free to speak as I want, IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE WAY I WRITE JUST IGNORE IT!!
