Part of the problem is we have a President who does whatever he wants and we don't find out about it until he has done it. Seems to me somebody in congress or the judiciary would be doing the checks and balances. Oh I forgot a republican prez and a republican congress... Whats wrong with that picture?

I HATE PREJUDGEMENTS!! That is, my brother and pretty much one of my best friends is a two time felon but he's also the best guy I know. The only reason he is a two time is because after the first no place wanted to hire him so what was he forced to do? In order to support his family he had do the only thing he could for money. Most of the time being a criminal is just a stupid mistake you make and then think, "DAMN! Why didi I do that?!?!"He did the criminal thing again but this time he knew more on how to not get caught from his time in prison. I guess that didn't work... Haha.

ON to the government thing - I think what the people need to do is revolt. In the Declaration of Independence it clearly states that the people at anytime they wish to have the right to overthrow the government and start anew. The bad thing about that is that the government has became too tyrannical to allow that. I think that is destructive of the people's right. Why would we come to a new country to get away from tehhe former governemtn just to allow that same thing to happen again??

I see that Washington has a State Lottery - so I guess gambling is OK to them if they're getting a piece of the pie. It's too bad that this is how so many government people think.

It doesn't bother me so much what the government does.

What bothers me is what they don't do. If they make election promisses and they get my vote because of that promiss, I expect them to keep it.

Unfortunately, now my vote goes to the one that I believe will break fewer promisses!

Unfortunatly, now my vote goes to the one that I believe will break fewer promisses!!

That's kind of how I voted in the last federal election - I wanted to vote against corruption (federal liberals) but instead we seem to be getting a Bush Jr. :(

I'm of the opposite opinion. I want the government to do LESS.

Government is all about money and the making and taking. It is so easy to get a peace of the pie and forget those with no chance at all. Government should be about people and the opportunity to claim a piece of the pie and live and let live. And stay out of my business!!

    UPDATE --- UPDATE --- UPDATE

    Hello again, all:

Well, here's the answer to my own question. I don't know about my neighbors, but I certainly am one.

Yes (and I'm NOT ashamed to say), the law passed yesterday, and I placed a bet this morning. A dastardly, wanton, criminal act, made all the more heinous because I waiting till it was illegal to do it.
