I am a bit addled as well; the 'endorsement' remark was an attempt at sarcasm, not toward kindj, but the advocates of 'universal, national health care'. We know who the perps are.

I gotcha now. I'm a bit slow this morning...Quote:

Beyond that the question has been Edwards' sincerity. Is he sincere or is he just exploiting them for personal gain? We're talking about a guy that charged $55,000 to speak to UC Davis about poverty.
Let's just not use them as pawns from any angle. On that note I think Bill and John should now both end their p***ing contest... and John should just go get himself another $400 haircut and return to his 28,200 square foot mansion.

It's not p***ing; it's pa****ing. You know every time he "takes on" O'Reilly, he gets a roar from the masses.
That of course is Edwards sole campaign strategy, stirring up the Kossacks and such.Quote:

A feeble attempt at satire or the politics of personal destruction? Some say humor is the best medicine, but whatever floats your boat.
Speaking of floating boats, how about a ship of fools:p

Liked the cheap shot better
Excon,
I only skimmed the thread. Politics makes my hands shake. Lol, it's true. I've found that not watching TV has solved many problems for me. First off, I have no idea who O'reilly is. What a relief.
I spent several years working in a state-run nursing home. They assigned me to primarily work in the unit that housed the homeless who had been brought in after being hit by cars etc. At least half of them were veterans. 70% of the unit were practicing alcoholics and there were a few schizophrenics. Those were real people. Their problems and issues were discussed in person, not through an entertainer. I'd like to think I helped a few, just by giving a darn.
If you support our troops, help them. The homeless ones who end up in long-term-care facilities are the lucky ones. They are given less than $50. A month for expenses while living there and although room and board are provided they are in desperate need of understanding. They need a hand up, not a hand out. Volunteer.
Bill O'Reilly is a news commentary mouthpiece and one that I think Fox news would be better off not renewing his contract. He is wrong and the telling proof is his own words used, "may be out there." BTW while we are on the reality check subjects, my brother, based in Germany and fresh off one of his three tours in Iraq, just got released from the hospital and one side of his face is currently paralyzed. My family is praying and are hopeful that he can overcome this latest impairment: Ramsay Hunt syndrome
I've personally known too many homeless vets.
