Valve under sink shuts off on its own
I have a double-sink in my bathroom. Recently, I noticed the right sink's hot water valve seems to shut off on its own. I've lived here for over 7 years and have never had this issue (it was brand new when we bought it). I ruled out any family members messing around under the sink and mistakenly shutting it off. Aside from questioning them, this doesn't seem likely because the shut off valve is a white plastic disc that needs to be pulled out to shut off the water (I would be more suspect if pushing the valve in actually shuts off the water). This happens every day or so and I am able to push the shut off valve back in to restore hot water flow to this sink. I don't know if this could be the culprit, but I turned our water heater thermostats up recently, so the toddler can take baths without running us out of hot water. Any assistance or advice you can provide is appreciated!

I would say it is time to change the valve, open the link below and click on the link in post #2 then watch the video will show how to remove this valve, in the vided it doesn't say to shut the water to the house you make sure that the water is shut to the house before you attempt to remove the valve, good luck.
