My toilet (starting last night) instead of all the water going down in one swoosh was very slowly draining with a glub glub noise in the pipes, then this morning when I took a shower the tub wouldn't drain, or at least was draining very slowly. Also, I believe the toilet leaked water all over the floor. Any help or ideas for me?

Looks like the main drain line may be clogged up here...

Are you on septic system? If so, when was the last time you got tank pumped out? If it's been awhile then may be that it is time to do so now... ;)

If on city/town sewer then sounds like your main drain line may be clogged. Here, you (or a FRIEND) will need to locate the main drain cleanout cap/plug (usually located at front of house in basement or just outside the foundation... Anyway, once you find the cap you want to remove the cap and run a bunch of water down the drain to confirm that the main drain line itself is clogged. If can confirm the pipe is clogged at this point then you will want to rent a large cable machine from a local tool rental store and snake the main drain line from the cleanout to the blockage (plus a few feet or more... ;) ). You will also want to purchase a set of safety glasses and a pair of leather gloves to protect eyes and fingers.

If not the main drain line going to the street then the clogged drain is inside the building... in this case, you will need to pull the toilet and snake the drain line from there... OR... to avoid the indoor mess you could always snake the drain from the vent on the roof... IF house is a single story with relatively slight pitch to the roof.
