Kitchen sink smells when water is running
My kitchen and bathroom sinks smell when I run water. After the water stops running I have no more smells. Someone told me that this could be caused by a clogged vent pipe. If I want to clear the vent pipe use a garden hose and flush the vent pipe out. Is this correct? Or will I introduce another problem by doing this. All other sinks and toiltes are working fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the smell came from the water Someone was wrong! The two systems don't interconnect. If the smell comes from the drain click on back and tell me.
Try this, remove the aerators and tun the water. Does it still smell?
If no then soak the aerators in bleach. If it still smells then I'll need the brand name and type, (one handle or two knobs) of the faucets. Let me know, Tom
