    And my question is why weren't given this information 2 pages ago? What's wrong with this installation? Let me count then ways. Going in you have to realize that every time a fixture drains or flushes the ejector pit is pressurized and every tie the pump kicks in the pit has a vacume. This is why the pit vent is a dedicated vent. That means that it hasn't any other drains or vents connected to it because if they are you have pressurized sewer gas being expelled into a venting system designed to work on vacuum. You have connected ,not one , but two vents back into then pit vent No wonder your wife walks into a stinky basement. Mark's right! You have a lousy installation and, in my opinion, the plumber who installed this abortion ought to have his license jerked. If it were my call I'd get a plumber in that knew his stuff and redo the entire job. Just my two pence worth, Tom
