My is no the heater thermostat
I agree with Dvirden - we have the same problem with our State Select Water heater (less than 5 yrs old) - it heats excessively hot - even with being on a mild setting. It lasts maybe 1 1/2 days then has to be reset. We have replaced the thermostat and several other electrical parts to the water heater - very frustrating!
My reset "red" button is in the top panel on the side of the heater is there a common reason why I have to rest :push it in from time to time to get hot water
Hi Webhead...
Sure is... most often the red reset button "pops" as a result of the water heater overheating... this can be due to a bad thermostat, but can also be due to a bad element. These parts are pretty cheap to purchase... are you comfortable working with electricity? Let me know... OK?

The reset button is within the thermostat, I have this problem now if some one keep helping to resolve this issue will be great

Mark gave a great answer just above your post. Time to start to replace the parts starting with the thermostats. Good luck, Tom
The reset button is under the TOP ACCESS PANEL.

I don't know why just answering the question was so difficult regardless of other posts.
