    I HAVE DRAINAGE!! :D:eek::D:eek::D

    Thank you massplumber2008!!

    The wet rag and the plunger did the trick! After a few pumps of the plunger, the drain gurggled a few bubbles and then the water started draining!
    I'm due for a nice long hot shower. Thanks.

    Thank you all for the suggestions and I am still going to look into that bathroom remodel to avoid this in the future.

    If you could open up the top of the stopper I sure would like to peek inside. A picture would be great. Rergards and glad you got opened up, Tom

    The top pic is inside the stopper which is basically a straight pipe that has an inlet from the tub (can only see it when water is on). There is is an outlet to the main somewhere down there.

    Then just below the inlet from the tub is a washer that the innards of the second picture sat in to stop up the tub ( I guess, because it has never worked).

    Fixerb...

    If this drain continues to be issue then you will want to take a hand-held snake and send it down the tall tube and see what you can retrieve from trap...

    Let us know if you want to discuss this for future?
