No water from faucet or sink sprayer
Last year, the faucet worked fine but the sink sprayer didn't. I got a new dishwasher and after the plumber did the install, both the faucet and sprayer worked. However, the sprayer developed a small hole and shot water out at you when you turned on the faucet. I got a new sprayer and installed it, and now have no water from the faucet or the sprayer. Initially, I heard gurgling so I ran the dishwasher so see if there was an air bubble in the line. After the cycle, the faucet worked, but not the sprayer. So, I took the faucet apart to clean the diverter valve. Cleaned it, put everything back, and still no water from anywhere. I don't know what else to try. Please help.

Sounds like you have a blockage in the faucet. Disassemble the faucet again, place a pan or small pot over the faucet and turn water on to flush the faucet.

I disassembled the faucet and flushed it. Water came through OK, put it back together and no water.

    Hi Jet...

Under the body of the spout you may find a SPRAY DIVERTER in the backside of the faucet body. Here, if present, remove the spray diverter using a needlenose pliers and see if it is broken or dislodged.

If needed replace the spray diverter... should resolve the issue.

If you don't have a spray diverter as presented here then we'd need more info. On the faucet to tell you more. Name brand, number of handles, internal spray spout or individual side spray, etc. OK?

    Thanks

I have no idea what brand of faucet it is. It is a builder's special and about 10 years old. There is a separate sprayer and it is a one-handle faucet. Thanks for the picture of the diverter. I did take that out and it is intact, although the washer looks like it might have some small cracks. I cleaned some gunk off it (not much) and it moves more freely. I'll take it out again and soak in vinegar and take it to Lowe's to see if I can find a match.

Be sure to flush water through the valve and the diverter hole while the parts are out. I'd also recommend that if you are going to home depot that you replace the cartridge/washer parts, etc... should resolve this 100%.
