    1 cup = 5 oz?
Just got a Sunbeam Coffee Maker. It states in the manual that (1 cup = 5 oz.). Who gave them the power to change a fundamental unit? That 5 is five oz. No wonder why the world is so screwed up. It's not a typo.

Maybe it should have been: 1 Sbcoc = 5 oz. A Sbcc is a Sunbeam cup of coffee.

I do not know the answer to that. I always thought a cup equals 8 ounces. Any measuring cup I have or have had, used 8 oz. to make a cup. Go figure! Anyone good coffee drinker knows that a cup of coffee is actually like 16 ounces! Lol.

I think they are using a tea cup. I can't get 12 mugs of coffee our of my12 cup coffee maker.

Remember, there are only 42 gallons in one of $100 barrels of oil.
