You should take him to the school district for additional testing and possible placement.
He could have verbal apraxia. My son was not talking at 3 years old and I was able to get him started in school for speech therapy. He is now 11 and still needs help.
But I am glad he was able to get some help so early. So please do not delay because the
Earlier speech is started the better the long term results will be.
    Good Luck.

I too in 2009 have this challenge with my three year old son. Is there any further information that could be given. My situation is eerily almost the same thing.

Further in the threads it was mentioned about a neurologist. Has anyone with similar circumstances had any success with embarking on this route.

    Thanks & Appreciated.

My son just turned two in June and he still isn't talking. He seems to understand us as he will go get things we ask him to get, he'l clap when we say clap and also stomp if we say to and so forth. He does say the occasional mom but doesn't say it consistently. I just order my baby can read in hopes that it will help him, I watched a lot of good success stories! I will let you know how it worked.

Has he starts talking now? If yes, what have you done to make him talk? My son is 3 years old now and he is currently very much likely as what you mentioned above about your son. I am seeking for help and hopefully you may help me if you have succeeded.
