I think I've had a spirit following me since I was a little girl. My mom and I use to live in an old house, not for very long though because we were both very convinced that the house was haunted. One night while I was sleeping I woke up in the middle of the night and looked to the side of my bed and saw a very visible spirit standing by my bed. It was a male he looked maybe in his 30s or 40s and he was smiling at me waving. I wasn't scared, I actually felt happy and I remember waving back. Since then, everywhere I move I have experienced small things and constantly have the feeling that someone is watching me everywhere I go in my home. I never saw the spirit again but I've always had the feeling that it was the man from the house. It's been almost 20 years since I've lived in that house and I have moved 5 times over the years, experiencing things in every house like hearing small sounds, lights flickering, and misplacing things. I never did anything about it because it never bothered me or scared me, it actually kind of comforted me sometimes because I felt like someone was watching over me. Until recently where all the sudden it has changed. I have a 4 year old daughter and her and I have recently moved back in with my mom for just a short time. The presence of the spirit has started to scare me. We're staying in the basement and the other night I was very close to calling the cops because I thought someone had broken into the house. I heard whispering upstairs and noises like things shuffling around. When I went upstairs I found nothing. The thing that really scared me though was when I went back downstairs I tried going to bed and laid there for awhile and noticed there was kind of a white cloud moving around me and I sat up and it got really close to me and I saw some kind of face make out in the cloud, inches away from my face. It didn't give me the same happy feeling that the spirit gave me over the years. It scared me and left me with a very uneasy feeling like it's mad and I'm starting to feel like it's not even the same spirit that was following me for years, I think it's a different spirit. The next morning I told my mom and after we got done talking about it, we noticed that the clock in the kitchen which has been out of batteries for a month started working by itself. It started working around the same time I was talking about the spirit. I don't know what to do, I've heard that sometimes if you just tell the spirit to go away then it works. But I've also heard that it can make it worse and the spirit will become stronger. I do not like this feeling, I am very scared going in my own room and I've been losing sleep over it because for the past few nights its been happening. My daughter doesn't seem affected by it though. What should I do?

The long and short of it is that you need to talk to a church. This is not a human spirit. Denominations do not matter. A church with experience in this subject would be best.
