Do we have a ghost visiting us?
Several things have happened that make me think we have a visitor. Here is a list of things that has happened on more than one occasion:
TV changes stations on its own and I am the only one in the house. We live in the country so not much chance of a prank
Candles relighting themselves after being out for 5-10 minutes
Touch light in bedroom coming on by itself.. not just one level but two levels
Son has seen a person walking through hallway with a white house robe on just to find out no one is there
Light smoky like shadows at the end of my bed
Orbs in photos
Several other things have happened but these are the most prodominent ones that stick out in my mind
What do you think?
Update on "Do we have a ghost visiting us?" on pg2
Its been a while since I have posted because our ghost, who we named Robert, has not show himself in any way. When I first named our ghost "Robert", I had no reason at all. That was just the first name that came into my mind. The paranormal activity that has happened in our home is posted here under "Do we have a ghost visiting us?" ( I think) Because of this activity. Candles relighting themselves, strong odor of cigar or pipe, the ghost my son saw twice in our hallway dressed in nightclothes of the era, etc... I decided to get some history on our home. Only to find out that one family has owned this property since 1948. In no way could we make a connection to Robert and the property owners. I decided to get history on the ground we live on and found some interesting facts. This is why we think our ghost "attached" himself to us. We live about 4 mi or so from the Averasboro battleground in NC. The battle moved through our property in 1865. Major Gen. Robert F Hoke was held in high regard and moved quickly up the ranks in the confederant army. Sometime later, Hoke asked to be released from his position to help rebuild the south and died in NC in 1912 which was unrelated to the battle. In April 1865, in a farmhouse located in Orange county NC, Confederate Gen. Johnston and Union Gen. Sherman, met to discuss the surrender of the Confederate Army. All the "politics" of the surrender was decided in this farmhouse. The owners of the 325 acre farm was James and Nancy Bennett (spelled Bennitt back then). So, I am sure you are asking yourselves what this has to do with us\? This is why we think our ghost showed himself the us. Especially with the EVP that I recorded says... "Give Up". The reason is this... our last name is Bennett. Since we found out this information, "Robert" has not shown himself in any way. Was Robert just a lost soul? What was he wanting? We can only assume it was a little of both. Most likely confused by our name being the same and maybe looking for some kind of acknowledment. To read more about this story click on this link:
