I ordered an old one off eBay and tried it alone. Nothing happened. I can't use it with anyone else because all my friends are church goers and would think badly of me. Is there some sort of trick to get it to work using it alone? I just feel it's a kids game and all these stories I hear are just bull. What would provoke a spirit? I would appreciate any help/answers! Thank you.

If I use the Ouija and it does not respond, could that still mean I have opened up a realm for evil spirits to come? I wonder why it's not working on me alone. You think Ouija's are bull? Correct me if I'm wrong. Will it work on you if you are a Christian? Will you go to hell if you use it, but believe in God? I hate to say it, but, I've even asked evil spirits to communicate with me, but nothing's happened.
So, could evil spirits come out if the planchette didn't move? What do you think? And anymore advice would be extremely helpful - like what to say to make communication with spirits - evil or good.

It would appear that you may not be the good Christian you think you are or profess to be if you are this hung up on a Ouija Board.

I'm experienced (Christian and a counselor) and have researched Ouija boards. It takes two to tango and to elicit a spirit. It might be a good spirit or an evil one. Yes, it will work on you if you are a Christian. (Of course, a Christian knows enough to stay away from Ouija boards. If a Christian plays around with one, that says that person isn't much of a Christian.) I got scared out of my wits years ago by what happened with a Ouija board at a friend's party, so my strong suggestion is to leave it alone.Quote:

This all comes down to what you believe in. If you believe it's just a toy then why are you worried about any consequences in playing with it? If it goes against your beliefs and you fear that you may go to hell for using it and unleashing evil spirits, then it's no longer a toy in your eyes, and it's best to get rid of it.

The fact is, there's no one that can give you a definite answer because it all depends on belief. It's a lot like religion, ask 10 different people their opinion, you'll get 10 different answers.
I have used the board quite a few times... With people and by myself.
I felt that I had more success using it with others.
To me, I found it both scary and exciting...

You're a little confused about Ask Me Help Desk. It's a question and answer board. You asked. Several people answered. It's not a roundtable discussion.
Every single question you have asked was answered in my very first post.
The other player and I were given factual information by the board, info that we didn't have the faintest notion of beforehand. It was verified by the only person in the room who knew the info be true. I had no understanding or knowledge of Ouija at the time, and vowed to stay away from it for the rest of my life. The Ouija board is very much like voodoo. It messes with the mind and with one's connection to God. Deuteronomy 18:9-13 is only one place where God forbids consulting anyone/anything that practices “divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.” Voodoo, just like the Ouija board, is dangerous because it opens people up to the influence of demons. I can't say that a ouija can be a gateway to other planes or dimensions or a world of spirits that can tell us of the future.
I can't say that it isn't either.
Some will attest to it being a toy or game.
Others claim it brought evil, ruin, and disaster to them.
There are thousands of stories to go with either claim.
Personally, I will not have one in my house, and do not care to be where one is being used.
The best case scenario is insight into what's ahead or what is happening we can't perceive.
The worst case scenario is unbelievably bad.
From what I personally have experienced, and have no way to affirm or dispute if the ouija was the catalyst or not, was sufficient enough to convince me that I can live my life without having one around .
I would discourage having or using one to anyone who asks.
It will doom your soul to hell < heavens been waiting to use that in a real post for weeks.
But yes, from the Christian view point ( and I would assume a few other of the major religions, that ban the connecting or talking to the dead or contact with the spirits, it would be evil and could open yourself up Gods wrath.
Again, there are those that don't believe in any of that, and others that worship the demons we are warning about.
TiffieCole, I will ask your age, normally only do this in the sex forums, but I have reviewed your many "reports" of various other posters on your question.
If I am wrong forgive me, but you sound like a younger person, who perhaps has not interacted with Adults on some issues that are very personal in nature.
While some of the posts are fairly hard, none are really hateful, they are perhaps BLUNT, and even more at times, but some issues, here bring those out. Some posters here will not have any religious beliefs, others may have beliefs that are far from Christian, We have those of Jewish and Muslim posters all the time here also. And a very large anti christian group you will see come out from time to time . *** I don't rate anyone that has answered on this post as anti christian, but there are some on site at times.
You have those that are anti mormon, anti catholic, anti baptist and so on, because of various beleifs each have.
So my though you may be a little young and mis-understand, very exciting beliefs and sometimes people having some fun with a subject as hateful.
I know almost all of the people who answered you, many for years ( and years and years on some) and none many any harm.
Personally yes I believe those boards are of the devil, I believe personally that they open you up for demons or at least to be influenced by them. ** but other things do that also.
But even within Christian faith, no all will believe that either.

Well stated. Not believing does not keep one safe from anything. It may well do the opposite and cause the effects to be attributed to things other than what they are.
