    Dreams and visions
Since I was 5, I have been able to distinguish certain dreams from others. These dreams are different because these events come true. The dreams are very very realistic and I can only see them from my own perspective. I've heard of this happening, although the main difference is that I can hear my own thoughts at the time of the event. Sometimes I can even determine my own process of thought. Once or twice, I have even seen the same vision from an alternate perspective. The events are never anything major and the visions don't last long, but I'm learning to control it and make it last longer with extreme focus. I was just wondering all of your thoughts. Are there any others that can relate to me? What advice can you give me for controlling this? Thanks.

I have the same thing happen to me. Essentially, what is happening is that when you sleep, your brain is on a different wave length. This allows you to be more sensitive to the natural energies within the earth. Because of that, some people are able to unconsciously access the astral plane and begin to dream walk and such (in your case, see future events). As for hearing your thoughts at the time of the event, what that is is that you are astrally projecting yourself into the future event... as if its actually happening now.

The reason this happens in your dreams and not in your waking state is because you have not yet gained control of it, so it happens subconsciously, essentially when your mind is susceptible to outside forces. I hope this makes sense. I know it may seem a little confusing (imagine if I explained EXACTLY how it works... YIKES!! ). Anyway, I hope that helps you understand what is going on.

There are many different types of dreams
    Some are God inspired
    Some or soulish
Some help interpret where we are and give us direction like premonitions.
Then there are lucid dreams which it sounds like you are referring to

Maybe this site will help you understand Lucid dreams

I have also experienced prophetic dreams, and I understand the feeling of "knowing they're different."

DEFINITELY do some research into Lucid Dreaming. I'm unable to induce lucid dreams due to heavy sedatives I must take to get to sleep (I'm a chronic insomniac). If you can, try "Lucid Dreaming" by Robert Waggoner. It's a great book, and explores psychological and paranormal views on lucid dreaming, OBEs, and prophetic dreams.

Lucid dreaming is very easy and is the key to understanding your subconscious and dreaming as a whole. I had my first and only lucid dream the first day after I began reading about the skill (the aforementioned book and its "Hands method" I swear by).

How are you with Déjà vu? A few years ago I began really paying attention to mine, and even managed to... somehow look into the future, or my subconscious, and find an object I had lost. Since that event, I have had very few of these visions, but I haven't determined any connection. The "feeling" I get with Déjà vu is the same I get with prophetic dreams, that's why I ask.

I have had the same experience you have. Having dreams come true. Knowing things before they happen and more. Just know that the more you focus on this, the more open you are, the more it will happen. Now lets say life gets way too busy and there are too many things going on and your not really in a meditative practice then You will find it actually not happening as much.

I do not think you should try to control it. My opinion is if your meant to experience this you will. Just do the right thing when you do have this experience. I have had to tell people and say to them you know what I had a dream this is what happened. It was always confirmed that I was right.

Some people are skeptical and you will need to learn how to approach somebody that is, especially if you need to share info with them.

    Take care and Goodnight,

    I agree entirely.

Take note that with Lucid Dreaming, we're not trying to teach you to "control" prophetic dreams--only to control mundane dreams to understand their nature. Indeed, if prophetic dreams are blessed upon you by a higher party, we should let this party be the judge of when you are blessed with them.

I hope we weren't misread as trying to induce prophetic dreams with the skill of lucid dreaming. If a prophetic dream comes upon you, in fact, the nature of that dream may keep you from being able to become lucid even if you wanted to!

Hope this helps, bless you all.

I agree as a child and well into my teenage years I use to see my life and future events in my dream. I lost a lot of it after I turned 19 and don't see as much anymore, but my mother seems to still have the gift and she see a lot, people think ohh you can see the future what's the winning lotto numbers, but its not that type of psysic abilities it's strange but enjoy your gift as I do.

Hi I know my dream stuff
Won't take up too much space

I have been studied and I have studied as well

I was put into a sleep lab where they found I do not go into the 5 stages of sleep

I go directly into are e m and out again
    That's it period
It is unusual but that would be me not normal ha
Anyway I've put down some stuff for you

There are 5 basic types of dreams

    1 the prophetic dream
    To the release dream
    3 the wish dream
For the informative or problem solving dream
    5 astral travel

1 -appears in colior ALWAYS never in black and white
This type of dream is in sequence ALWAYS

2- this dream is self explanatory and the most confusing
All emotions and problems are worked out through this dream - sometimes into the nightmares that we have

3-these are just what we wish for but the trick is learning to decipher them - ie" a new mercedes could mean you are wanting to boost yourself image

A trip to disneyland? U want to escape or wish your family had a good day together

4-this type leads us to solutions we didn't have - this is a guarantee uve been busy in sleep either receiving info telepathically or astral travelling to where the answers lie-
This type dream like prophetic and astral will unfold in a logical sequential order

And 5 - whenever you dream of flying you are- on a different plane - astral plane- when you awake from this type of dream you are tired- from lack of sleep- you have been going to these places

Lucid dreaming is where you are in control of your dream- you are aware of what is going on and can make the outcome whatever you want- this is a healthy dream for your mind - you can smell feel see in color always in color- it is probably the most inportant of all dreams because it is connected to your actual mental state

Now there are many other types of dreams but these are the basics
You also can have nightmares, night terrors, remote viewing, astral catelepsy, etc etc

It sounds like your dreaming lucid dreams especially with your getting better at controlling them each time.
