I just purchased a VIZIO television but I cannot program my Direct TV remote as they do not list VIZIO in the brand choices. Is there a program code for these tvs or am I just out of luck?

We just figured this one out! My dad remembered that the salesman mentioned that Vizio was made by Samsung. So we looked in the codes in the Sony manual and tried the first Samsung code listed: 103. It worked! Give that a try and if it doesn't work try the other Samsung codes.

On the VIZIO remote push the "CABLE" button. Then press and hold the "SET" button until you see three (3) flashes. Press 991 and press and do not let go of the "POWER" red button. The VIZIO remote will scan through all the codes. Once the Direct TV receiver shuts off release the red "POWER" button.
