At least Marty can easily be changed to Marcy if you ever do find out which it is lol

Not a problem alty. I was enjoying reading your conversation about rabbits that turned to birds lol.And I noticed your comments about how the name could go both ways and my cousin popped right into my head.. Beautiful pictures that have been included to. I used to own a holland lop and a mini rex crossed with jackrabbit and I loved them. Sadly I had to get rid of them 9 years ago when I moved.

Wow a mix, not often that you see jack rabbit and bunny rabbit mixed together. :)

I got to run, housework to do. I'll be back later. :)

He was definitely unique looking. Had the build of a jack but looked like a rex. I had gotten him from a rex breeder who had him as a family pet. They had babies once (when I did not know the lop was a girl) and all the bunnies that were born came out pure white with red eyes. And boy didn't they get big. Sadly one was born with four broken legs and that's when I decided to fix them. So no more accidental births and no more bunnies I had to put down. Good luck with the housework alty I'm off to do some of that myself and take rebel for a walk on the dykes *silly dog loves the dykes I think it's the ducks honestly*

I think I've discovered why my bunny Diego was surrendered to the shelter...

I have a nice set of teeth marks in my finger... must remember to hold food next time I pick him up!
I think he got a bit rowed up though because he was grunting at Dora when I had her out of her pen...

Can't wait till his hormones finally die down!

Yeah it's all good, luckily we bought a pack of 50 band-aids today! Lol

He was only fixed last Friday :) vet said it's going to take at least a month before he calms down.

    The vet's right. :)

Kilala was a biter, and boy could she dig deep.

Start slow Shaz. Open his cage, have a treat in your hand, let him come to you. After a few days of him taking the treat from you then reach out to pet him. If he backs away then let it be until the next day.

Remember, rabbits tolerate us, they don't necessarily love being around us humans. ;)

Kilala now sits in my lap and loves her daily rub downs. If you try to pick her up (without a lap underneath her) she goes nuts. She doesn't like the feeling of not having her feet on solid ground. I don't blame her, I'm afraid of heights too. :)

    Thanks for the tips Alty.

I've never had a bunny that wasn't cuddly so it's pretty new to me.

Dora does the same thing as Kilala, she likes her lap scratches but hates being picked up or put back down, when I put her on the ground I have to get on my knees and kind of slide her down so she doesn't jump.

Ditto with Kilala. She's a real squirmer and man is she strong. She's the only bunny I've ever had that I cannot hold onto. Sad.

Like I said, she's the bunny version of me. Snarky, temperamental, feisty, but damn is she cute. ;)
