    Just take it slow...
    They are both fixed right?

They may never be together without fighting so that is something you have to be prepared for, always having 2 separate cages, but sometimes after fighting they can still get along. It can just take them a while to get used to each other.

I ran into an old friend the other day and she owns ferrets too... hers are female. And they are 3 years apart in age. She said basically the same thing shaz has and that it took two months for her ferrets to be able to share a cage. They still have fights once in a little while over silly little things like all friends do but they are doing awesome together.. so I hope yours end up getting along too :D.. I wish you luck with it

Thank you, I have been working with them and weezy is not that aggressive now it is bandit (the new one). I guess if I just let them fight for a min. or so they might figure out who is the alfa male and maybe they won't fight as much. I hope that is te right thing to do cause I don't wonna hurt my babies for no reason.

It's a bit of a gamble with letting them fight.
I'm used to rabbits which when they fight, they have trouble grabbing onto each other and biting.
With ferrets however, once they grab on they don't let go!!

Just make sure you are on stand by with a piece of cardboard or something flat to slip between them to break up any major fights.

Good luck, it's good that you are making some progress!

Thank you all so much all this information is good but now I have another problem. I was in a car wreck the other day. Me and my dad made it out but my step mom didn't. She was emediatly killed in the wreck. A tree had follen on the front seats of the car and broke her neck. I wasn't taken as good of care of my ferrets as I should have and they have both gottin pretty skinny. They almost always have food so I'm not quit sure what is causen their weight loss. Do you know what might cause it?? If you do please let me know right away.

They could be stressed because there is a lot of tention within your family. If their diet hasn't changed, the weightloss could be triggered by the accident and how everyone in your family is acting differently. Sometimes, animals will become depressed if their owners stop paying attention to them...

To be safe, you may want to contact the vet to rule out anything that could be bad.

Oh my gosh, I'm sorry sorry to hear that autumn, are you OK??

Like Lucky said, they could just be picking up on the negative energy in the house and it's stressing them out a bit.
I know with dogs if their owner goes missing or they are rehomed they do pine for them for quite some time.
