I would report whoever posted graphic details, and he/she would be immediately kicked off the site.
It's secret Colonoscopy Club information.

How many details could anyone but a doctor actually give? The patient is sedated and doesn't actually REMEMBER the procedure.

I suspect Clough wants prep details. The colonoscopy itself is pretty boring.

Thinking of what they might find is scary. I worried for two weeks before I had mine! Uncomfortable thinking even though your knocked out the process:eek:

It was awful! I'd already had all the shots, couldn't feel anything, (except when I told them I could. More shots then... ) Even after all of the shots, I could still hear the scraping...

Clough, I can't remember anything of the actual colonoscopy. I was knocked out. In fact, I'm told they gave me extra meds because "I have a sensitive bottom and I wouldn't allow them in". ;)
The actual procedure is a piece of cake, I dozed through the whole thing, dozed after, was woken up but still dozed. Slept all the way home, slept 6 hours after I got home and then just got up for a few minutes only to crawl into bed again.
The absolutely worst part of it is the day before and the 4 litres of vile fluid you have to drink.
At 2pm I had to take two pills (I don't remember the name) then at 4pm I had to start drinking the liquid, 8oz every 10 minutes until it's all gone.
When it was half gone I actually cried because I couldn't imagine drinking the other half, but I did.
At 8pm I had to take three pills (another prescription, don't recall the name).
I had prepared for all of this by buying the super soft toilet paper. The best that money can buy.
The liquid turns your fecal matter into water. You do not venture far from the facilities. You are literally afraid to sneeze! That is the worst part.
When I arrived at the hospital I was checked in, weighed and then an IV was put in. I got to wear the beautiful blue floral hospital gown. I was wheeled into the procedure room on a stretcher and the doctor and I talked for a few minutes. He was wonderful, great bedside manner.
Then the nurse started the sedatives. I remember 2 different injections into the IV, then things get fuzzy.
The next thing I remember is the nurse trying to wake me up in the recovery room.
That's about it. :)

Hey, Kitkat22!
When I go to my dentist, I tell him to not use any novacaine, unless I say so. I remember one time that I did that, and was tearing his chair apart, that he said, "I feel like such a bad guy"!

The liquid I drank wasn't vile. It tasted like stale Gatorade. I'll be serving it at our AMHD summer picnic. Wonder why you took pills. Maybe J will know.
