    I am looking for penpals.
I like writing and getting to know people as we are typing on the computer. I want to build up more contacts to branch out more... life can get stale and it is great to meet new and interesting people. If you were at all interested as I am then I would love to meet you via email. Look forward in hearing from you. Mary 37 born and raised in T.O.

I think AMHD is a great way to branch out. Eventually you make friends and then sometimes you even get the chance to meet them in real life :)

AMHD is the best thing next to a pen pal ;) Plus you don't have to wait on a letter or buy stamps!

I used to love sending letters to my penpals. We would send each other little 'care' packages with some sort of souvenere from our country.
Best thing I got was a little toy car with a maple leaf on it :D

Thanks Mudweiser for telling me about AMHD, I don't mean to actually have pen/paper pen pals just chatting with others off here or chatting via email off this site, it is nice to chat with new people get new perspectives and just learn more. What do you think?

    I love it here.

Met my BBJ here [oo hope he sees this].

The boys here can get a little rowdy but they're always great.

The gals here give you a chuckle or two.

The mods and admins are always here to keep you in check--err.. me.

I'm Sarah by the way... I don't know what role I play here on AMHD.. but I love it here.

I would love to be your penpal and so love that you used that term. Seriously I have a penpal, and yes it was pen and paper for years and years. Guess how we met? In a BonJovi fan club. I think I maybe was in 6th or 7th grade. She answered an add I had in this BonJovi fan club paper and she wrote me. I am now 36 and we haven't stopped writing since. Of course now its emails everyday from our jobs. But its wonderful and I love it. The first time we ever met was when she flew to NY for my wedding. She was in it and it was amazing for us. We send gifts on holidays and photos. I don't have a closer friend then her.

I was looking for a penpal for my children, I had a penpal in China. It appears penpals are a thing of the past, they now do emails... but where is the fun of practicing the language and the cool paper and the waiting every week for a letter.

    Oh, poo.

I want an old style penpal from China for my children.

88 sunflower now see that is what I call fun... it is great to meet people via this way and you just never know what comes from it and how long it will last. I am soooooooooo bored at this job that I need a break but being out in front were bosses and coworkers walk by constricts me a lot so I am on and off. I am 37 and live in T.O where else does everyone live that I would chat with??

Sooo true with the paper! I am the same way. But me and my penpal have shared so many stories that now its just easier with email. We talk nonstop all day. But I do miss the anticipation of waiting for the next letter or package.

I hate london as its so busy, not many people in uk have been to london tbh, they would rather go abroad for the warm weather as london is cold, crowded and expensive lol xx

I know and that's one of my main reasons to move there. I love the fresh air and the land you can get. Me and my fiancés goes to Newburg around this time and in Fall to drive up the high mountains and get to the top and sit back to enjoy the view. Also, I do a lot of camping upstate and they have some great camping sites up there. Also, the food prices are cheaper. I would save a lot of money each which way.

Manchester is as expensive as london, you don't find many bb's in manchester as it's a major city, expect to pay £70 per room per night in manchester, and that's very cheap x

You must come farther north. We all complain here but in the end we all move away but come back home. I agree it is much cheaper up this way for sure. I have a friend who just moved home from Vermont. Her rent right now for her house is $750. She thought that was so cheap and I laughed. I guess for what she was used to in Vermont its cheap. But to me that's crazy expensive.

Omg. You want to rent in london, its aprox $2000 pcm and that's for a tiny studio flat!! It's the same in manchester, maybe a tiny bit cheaper but not much.. we are ripped off in the uk
