What is your least favorite chore?
I know all of you out there have to have at least one chore that you absolutely hate doing. Whether you are a stay at home housewife/mom/househusband/dad (I'm a stay at home-er, chores and kids pretty much revolve around my day) , or are a working male or female, there has got to be a chore you dread. What is your least favorite?

Mine would be laundry. I hate laundry, I don't know why, I just do. :p

Other honorable mentions are vacuuming and dishes.. lol.

**EDIT** - Ahh, I forgot about the teens. Is there anything your parents make you do for a chore that you cannot stand?

I hate dishes. I think it was all those years living in an apartment without a dish washer. Now it takes so much for me to even just turn on the dishwasher let alone unload it.

Ugh and vacuuming. I hate to vacuum. It's so loud.

Ahhh doing dishes without a dishwasher. I remember having to do that when I was a teenager. I hated it! Oh and the vacuum, is so loud my son screams like a banshee and jumps onto anything he can find because he's so scared of it.. lol

However I love doing laundry. I think its because I used to set up a reward system with myself all those years of going to the laundromat. Only at the laundromat could I read trashy gossip mags and eat a Dunkin Donuts breakfast sandwich and latte.

Oooh that sounds good. I think I hate doing laundry because my husband has about two closets worth of clothes. He's like a woman. He'll try something on and not like it, and rather than hang that thing back up he throws it in the floor. Then he'll repeat that process about two more times. :p

I had an ex that was like that. I used to want to strangle him with his clothes :)

I think about that sometimes. Just hang him from his jeans that "didnt look good".. lol

I've never had a dishwasher and don't mind doing dishes. I like doing the laundry too and later smelling the clean clothes just out of the dryer. (My cats hope I leave the full basket unattended so they can pile onto the soft, warm tangle.)

I would say I hate dusting. It's the last thing one is supposed to do after vacuuming, etc. and by that time, I'm too tired to care.

Dusting doesn't really bother me. I got one of those Swiffer dusters and it makes the job a lot easier ;)

I love the Swiffer duster. I used to hate dusting until those came out. I'm like that woman on the commercial who is going crazy and just dusting everything in arm's reach.

LOL I do that too. That thing makes it so easy you just start going crazy.

I hated it all from normal chores like a sink full of dishes and pealing potatoes to washing and ironing soldier hubbies uniform and kit. Then someone gave me a tip that worked wonders. Plan your day… make a list of what needs to be done and then put a day and time by it. Check your list every evening and make up your mind to take care of whatever is on it the next day. In a sense you are giving yourself the heads-up and also the chance to get your head around what needs to be done. It works like magic.

I'm well out of it now but the memories, the pain! To this day I hate ironing. I pay someone to do it.

I hate folding laundry, doing dishes and mowing the lawn. Everything else is not to bad. Few more years and my son can start doing some of this stuff for an allowance.

Ohh yes my mom always said the reason she had us was to do the stuff she didn't want to do.. lol. I hate mowing the lawn too, I forgot about that since I have lived in an apartment. My mom always sent me out to do it at like 3 p.m. when it was the hottest outside.

Lol I would hate that one too. I don't have a dog, but I do have a rabbit. That cage can get pretty nasty sometimes.

I hate cleaning my room, I can find everything when its messy and when I have to clean it I can't find anything. I have to mess everything up to find something.

I hate dishes too, at work, (I work at a banquet place), I kind of hide the dishes :(, I'm not going to clean hundreds of dishes...

I love a clean house, the thing I hate is putting stuff in the right spot, I have nooks and cranies for everything if I get lazy... Putting away laundry is the worst ever...
    Go Start, get it done!

    nauticalstar420
Haha, I have those same nooks and crannies, but they are mostly used for my papers and mail that I think I'm going to need in the future, but never end up needing again. I've got drawers, cabinets, baskets and all kinds of things full of papers. I keep all of the manuals to all of the electronics I ever buy and everything. I guess you could say I'm a paper packrat... lol.

I want to be a CowBoys Cheerleader... LOL
Yes, I am going to move soon so I will have to find out my new "hiding' spaces there. Scary huh? I get to rekindle the old things coming out in the open again, papers, lighters, batteries, pocket knives, stickers, well, all that counter crap from 2 years ago. You know what I mean, also the taxes, all my bills, all of the jusk stuff we get and say we will do something with it... so on. Love being a pack rat, time to go clean. LOL

Lol even though I'm a pack rat, I still know where everything is! My hubby doesn't see how, but I do!

Where is my other shoe babe? Sound familiar? My wallet, my pants... those silly men, if their life depended on it, they wouldn't be able to find their keys, unless us women were there to help. Sorry guys, just a little rant from me to my husband...
Another chore is cleaning his garage, he doesn't so I will. I have probably thrown stuff out that was worth hundreds... LOL don't tell him.

Lol that sounds very familiar. I have to lay out my husbands uniform, white undershirt, boxers, wallet, keys, cell phone and belt, or he will wake me up to look for it just because he doesn't want to. He knows deep down somewhere that he could look himself, he just doesn't want to. :p

I'm still married with kids in the house, and I'm with you on the disposable stuff! Plastic cups, too! For some reason everyone in my house likes to get a new cup every time they get something to drink. Me personally, I'll use one cup throughout the whole day, then put it in the dishwasher. I got tired of washing cups all day long, so I buy plastic :p
