Guess what I saw today in a pawn shop? My husband and I had taken my mom to Dialysis and we had some time to kill. We have been looking
For a Bow so we went to this pawn shop and there were so many guns. I found a lady smith with a pink handle Snub nose. Cute.

They had a .38 Taurus. I don't like that brand. They a few Stars, don't like them either.

It is conjecture , but I would want the gun in hand and I too would have used it had he moved towards me.
Knowing how to use guns, I would have removed one or both of his knees.

With the pistol, yes. With the shotgun I would have blown his head off. I am a lot more confident with a handgun and that's why the shotgun is gone.

I hope you can defend yourself where you are attacked.
And jurisdiction is everything for sure.

I was watching one of those Repoman shows and they said in Texas , after dark, you can shoot trespassers.

If someone broke into my house... I think I would fire at him. Scare him until the police got there. If somebody hurt one of my children or grandchildren.. I wouldn't hesitate to shoot him till there were no more bullets in the gun.

What Ive always tried to explain to people that own or are thinking of owning a gun is the most important thing no matter what is that your comfortable with it. The brand nor size doesn't matter. So long as your comfortable. I have friends that shoot cowboy action and other that do IDp competitions and 3 gun competitions. And for all of them its different. My motto is.. if that is what you like - Go for It!!

Welcome to the thread Judy ;)

Taurus is actually making a comeback these days. Their pricing and quality of guns has gone way up. Mostly that's the semi-automatic ones. Im not sure about the wheel guns. They have a really nice 1911 in the lineup and its at a fair price.

Back in the day it wasn't as stressful and it wasn't as isolated in the big cities either. In today's times the only gun play children are getting is from video games. And not from the imagination like many used to have growing up. How did we all survive ?

Now I know I am late. Always late lately. I have seen why the discussion came here and all of that.

I personally do not own a gun but have family member that was in a gun club, owned several different guns. Always keeps them locked up in his safe, all registered.

There is nothing in my own opinion wrong with talking about guns, having threads about guns, discussing what guns you like to get or have , etc...

As far as all the deaths in Toronto. There is violence around the world. You know what most of the deaths are actually gang members shooting up other gang members with illegal guns and have to do with drugs.

AB, I like your signature and your picture and am glad that you will keep it there. No one has a right to tell you to take it off.

Even other people shared pictures of their new guns as a proud owner of a new baby which is nothing wrong with it.

Now there are accidents that happen. There are situations that happen that should not. The thing is it is all about safety and training. Knowing how to keep them safe and away from criminals that might steal them.

Obviously does not matter how strict gun laws are, criminals will always get their hands on them. It is all about personal choices and just because somebody chooses to have a gun or gun collection and etc in their home does not make them bad or wrong or anything else for that matter.

I personally would not carry a gun or own a gun and store it at home having a little child at home. Also my wife does not like the idea of any guns at all. That is fine.

It is called personal choice, but to say that no one should be talking about it on a thread or have pictures of it. Is pompous.

They pawn them for money Kit. If they are short of money for one reason or another.

There are background checks for guns too, not just people.
