Firm those magnolias are so pretty... I really love the whimsy of the first one... imagine the dappled light shining through the little shrub. I love the creaminess of those flowers.

Where I used to live I walked my dogs, there was a church garden with a huge magnolia tree and a bench where you could sit underneath and against the tree was a figure of a angel her face resting against the tree... she had on little coveralls and her little white wings were on each side of her galases<---spelling(Straps) I supposed she was in time out... it was such a peaceful place to take a rest from the walking. My daughter, dogs and I spent many evenings walking there... thanks for the memory jog!

The wife and I love caves.

I have some photos but they are at home in my back up hard drive, I'll grab some this week and post for all to see.

In the meantime, here is my favorite sunset photo, taken this year in Southern Iowa during the spring flooding.

The area you see full of water, is supposed to be a corn field.

Prog... that has got to be one of the prettiest pictures I have ever seen.
You should find a contest to enter it in.

I do sometimes drive the wife nuts as she HATES to have her photo taken,
Unless both of us are in it.

Needless to say, I have 3 tripods, since I HAVE to be in the photo too, if I want any
Pictures of her.

Getting these photos on here was quite a task for me, reducing, converting, retrying, but I think I finally figured it out.

Upon review, many of my cave photos are so dark, they don't show up very well, but here are 4 of the most interesting.

The first two, are from Fantastic Caverns in Springfield Missouri and the second two are from Crystal Cave in Springfield as well.

Nature is a truly amazing thing, is it not!

If you are ever in the Springfield MO area, and want to tour a cave, I recommend Crystal Cave, above and beyond all others.

We were there in 2005, so I'm not sure if anything has changed, but this cave was privately owned by a man and his wife. This guy was in his 70's. He has dug the areas of this cave out totally by himself for the past 10 years or so, by hand. He told us he has opened at least 4 new "rooms" since they bought the cave from the two sisters that owned the land originally.

You would have to see the cave to appreciate the effort it must take.

It is not like the Tourist Traps, where you get herded around like a bunch of cattle.

The day we got there, it was just me and my wife, and the guy gave us our own private tour, took us into a couple of new areas, that had not even been inspected for being open to the public yet, and yes, we did so at our own risk, as he advised us.

You won't get this kind of personal treatment, at any other tourist mine that I know of.

And no, I don't own any stock in his mine either.
