The actual procedure is a piece of cake, I dozed through the whole thing, dozed after, was woken up but still dozed. Slept all the way home, slept 6 hours after I got home and then just got up for a few minutes only to crawl into bed again.
The absolutely worst part of it is the day before and the 4 litres of vile fluid you have to drink.
At 2pm I had to take two pills (I don't remember the name) then at 4pm I had to start drinking the liquid, 8oz every 10 minutes until it's all gone.
When it was half gone I actually cried because I couldn't imagine drinking the other half, but I did.
At 8pm I had to take three pills (another prescription, don't recall the name).
I had prepared for all of this by buying the super soft toilet paper. The best that money can buy.
The liquid turns your fecal matter into water. You do not venture far from the facilities. You are literally afraid to sneeze! That is the worst part.
When I arrived at the hospital I was checked in, weighed and then an IV was put in. I got to wear the beautiful blue floral hospital gown. I was wheeled into the procedure room on a stretcher and the doctor and I talked for a few minutes. He was wonderful, great bedside manner.
Then the nurse started the sedatives. I remember 2 different injections into the IV, then things get fuzzy.
The next thing I remember is the nurse trying to wake me up in the recovery room.
That's about it. :)
