When it comes to temperature I just go with it's hot or it's cold out. Forget the calculating Celsius into Fahrenheit! When it comes to conversion of gas from litres to gallons, no matter how you look at it it's just plain old EXPENSIVE! When I go grocery shopping, I ask the butcher for the meat in pounds and let HIM do the conversion!:D

Never having a TV in our bedrooms, and have about 10 channels, and actually having to get up to switch the channel if we wanted to watch something else! :eek:

Although... after watching Dawson's Creek (yes, I did), I would love to make a Dive In somewhere around here... wouldn't it be awesome? A "drive-in" on the beach... only its out on pylons in the water... You could sit on the beach, or bring the boat, the jet-ski...

That reminds me of another thing when we where kids. I had two pairs of pants, no more than that. My mom always made sure they were clean, but I didn't get a new pair until I'd outgrown the ones I had, even then most times they were made into shorts, a skirt or something else. Nowadays kids have $50.00 jeans and most time they have 10 pairs or more. I don't have $50.00 jeans! ;)
My 9 year old asked me yesterday if he could have a cell phone for his 10th birthday. No way! But I do see kids younger than mine that do have cell phones. We didn't have them and we got along just fine. What happened to kids earning their privileges?
I hear you, Alty! About the earning privileges thing... I had to earn the right to have a cell phone... and didn't get one until 16, when I got my first car! And that was only because Mom wanted to know where I was at all times.
Although, your jeans thing reminded me of my favorite pair of jeans when I was a kid... they were leapord print... funny... I don't have anything leapord print today...

My favorite pair of jeans were electric blue with a clown on the pocket. Hey, they were cool! :) I cried the day they stopped fitting, couldn't find another pair to replace them. :(
