I love Nashville, but when you get outside of the city its like you left behind all things active! Lol! I love my apartment community, but I'd love to live downtown...

Granted, NY & Co, Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, Victoria Secret, Megamovieplex, and other goodies are a 3 minute drive, but still.. I want to be able to walk to Starbucks! :)

There is absolutely no way in hell I would ever want to live downtown anywhere with a population higher than 3000.

I love living in a metroplex, but I ALSO love living in the suburbs of said metroplex.

See, I'm the type of person that wants a upscale retro loft in the city and a cabin in the middle of nowhere, provided there is a lake and a boat :) It's the whole stiletto wearing, jeans toting complex :)

Afternoon all. I was parent helper at my daughters kindergarten class today. I just spent the last 3 hours with 21 five year olds. I'm calling my doctor now to make an appointment for my hubby, he doesn't know it yet, but he's getting a vasectomy. 21 FIVE YEAR OLDS!!

I drank the coffee in the teachers lounge, YUCK! I don't feel so well, there's something about powdered whitener that's just so wrong.

    LOL! On two counts!

I missed my Alty! :) Glad you're back.

Wow... 21 five year olds... yikes. Funny, I have my Bachelors in El. Ed. But once I worked overseas as a college professor, I kind of lost interest in the whole "he stole my cookie!" and "she ate the paste!"

I had that Blech coffee today - RAH... nasty... I'm drinking an iced hazelnut coffee from McD's - couldn't make the starbucks run I wanted, but let me tell you... Good ol' Ronald knows how to make a pretty good cup o' coffee! Funny though... Drive through convo:

Speaker: Welcome to McD's may I take your order please?
Me: I'll take a large Hazelnut Iced coffee, please.
    Speaker: Is that all?
Me: Actually, do you have anything Larger than Large?
    Speaker: Umm... no...
Me: Darnit, OK, Large will have to do.

    Sad... very sad...

I still haven't told him that he's going in for the big snip. Maybe I can convince him that it's just a physical.:p

Now that I've got my own coffee I've settled down a bit. But really, 21 FIVE YEAR OLDS!

Alty, I babysat for 6 months, 12 kids on a daily basis, I don't feel much when you say you spent three hours in a controlled situation>>>>LMAO
It will be OK, you just need to sit and do not listen to anything, let your mind wind down LOL
I think you need to talk to your hubby!

Hmmm... not sure if the whole "honey, its just a physical" will work... but here's hoping for you! :D

Alty was wicked last night, wasn't she now? Must say, I enjoyed reading your conversations, but boy, I never know what to expect! ;)

Yes she and the boys were evil, and I still never got an honest answer out of any of them... sure was funny to see though!

    An answer about what, Starty?

    Alty
If you would finally get internet at home then you could keep an eye on me. I only get into trouble when you aren't here. :p

Ah, really, Sneezy and IHate are just big softies, much easier to handle that 21 five year olds. :D

Starty - When I was 20 I worked in a day care for a year. One week the flu was going around and I was the only employee that showed up. I had to take care of 52 kids ranging in age from 18 months to 9 years, all by myself. After that experience I'm actually surprised that I had kids of my own.;)

It really wasn't that bad today, would have been better if the coffee hadn't sucked, but not bad. It was E.L.K. Day (Don't ask what it stands for, I have no idea) that means that they set up 6 stations, each parent volunteer (and I use the term loosely) mans a station, the split the kids up into groups and around they go. My station was the letter station, today we learned the letter T t. They have to write the letter exactly like the teacher wants, start from the top, go to the bottom, cross at the top left to right. Apparently there are many little terms and phrases that the teacher uses to explain the steps, I wasn't privy to any of them. I finally had it down when I got to the last group, but the others, YIKES!

I didn't see that question, sorry, I really wasn't ignoring you. You have to admit, I was a bit busy wielding my whip last night. :D

Hey HChicky, did you see the picture of whip girl that F4U posted? What do you think, should she be my new avatar or should I stick with Cotton bunny?

    Bunny... BUNNY!
    I love it!

I am hungry, this coffee isn't taking my hunger away, I wonder what would happen if I quite drinking coffee... I would probably gain about 25 pounds, let me tell you I would be eating just to satisfy myself.

LOL! I was thinking the whole "Out darned spot" in reference to banishing the thought of quitting... not coffee itself! :) lol... should have clarified that...

    Alty
Quit coffee? I'd rather give up my left arm.

Girls I've got to go, time to do some grocery shopping, otherwise the kids are going to be eating cereal without milk for supper tonight.

I'll talk to you all later, hold down the fort while I'm gone.

    Alty Out.

My favorite is Starbuck's Organic Serena but if I go into a Starbucks, I usually get a Sugar free vanilla soy latte, tall. Grande if it's early in the day.

Interesting health tidbit: One of my friends was an emergency room nurse for 13 years before going into home health and she said that she has successfully stopped afib in a heart patient with black coffee. Obviously, she's a nurse and I certainly wouldn't recommend using coffee if you have afib but she said if a person drinks coffee every day of their life and then they go in the hospital for a heart problem, sometimes the withdrawal from the caffiene can send them into afib.

Hopefully that tidbit will come in handy during my residency... another reason to carry around a mug filled with java.

Starty, HC's only telling you half truths. She lives in nashville... she's currently in atlanta. ;)

I am currently running on 33 hours of no sleep.

Good news is, my exam tomorrow is canceled... finally got that e-mail (better late than never)... but I did spend a significant amount of time studying for it. Now to move onto my Friday exam.
