Ohso, you would identify with him the same way you would anyone else. It may be a bit awkward, at first, to figure out which pronoun to use (he, she) but the rest is all the same. You talk to androgens the same way you talk to a man or woman. You find a common interest, and you go from there.

Maybe it's just a matter of familiarity. I've spent a lot of time in the gay community, so I've spent more time talking to androgens and other gender non-conformists.

actually, that look is still alive and well in many communities in america. (i can't speak for germany.) it is prevalent in the lgbt community, as well as portions of mainstream society. many metrosexual men wear some degree of make-up, as well as ANYONE who is on tv or the stage, including actors and politicians.

most likely, the overdramatic make-up was done for the purpose of those photoshoots. if it was a woman wearing way too much make-up, no one would question the fact that it was done just for those pictures. since he happens to be male, you seem to assume that he ALWAYS wears that much make-up.

did anyone ever say that he's straight? if so, then i must have missed it.

i don't think it MATTERS what his sexual orientation is. i am HIGHLY offended that you would say that he has to be mentally unstable to dress the way he does. you more than implied that no straight man would ever dress less than 'manly' and that doing so means severe mental illness, homosexuality, and makes him less of a man. IF he is gay, that DOESN'T make him ANY less a man than anyone else who was born with a penis and does NOT mean that he needs therapy. homosexuality was taken off the books as a mental illness YEARS ago.

the way he dresses has NOTHING to do with his physical sex, and EVERYTHING to do with his gender identity. if i had to guess, i would say that he is what is known as a gender-er, someone who chooses to ignore all conventional gender rules in favor of doing and wearing what feels most comfortable for them.

the clothing is not absolutely feminine. it seems more unisex, with the possible exception of the jeans. i have known many COMPLETELY straight men who wore women's jeans, simply because they were more comfortable and flattering to them.

gender identity has NOTHING to do with sexual orientation. someone who is physically male, but identifies as a women could just as easily be attracted to men or women. the same goes for physical females who identify as men.

this is just an example of a double standard. women who dress in masculine, or unisex, clothing are called tomboys. men who wear feminine clothing are called sick and gay and perverts.

I wish I could rep you again, because you've made some very valid points. Not only that but you helped slightly alter my way of thinking. While I never had an issue with either gay or lesbian women, I've always been confused as to people who are androgynous (or however you spell it) I'm not sure I'll ever completely understand them, because I'm not in their minds But what I can say is that no matter what they are still human beings with feelings and lives and they have had a lot more to go through than a lot of people give them credit for.
That being said, I still think it's amusing when anyone dresses as to the opposite gender to the point where it's that confusing, mostly because my brain can't make sense of it, and it wants to know how to relate. And you're right, I'm pretty sure his clothes are unisex, it's mostly his hair and make-up that throws me off. He just looks so FEMININE! It's not a bad thing at all. And I don't discriminate against who I poke fun at. I'm an equal opportunity teaser; everyone gets a piece of it, especially myself. :)
More than anything I just like to learn about different kinds of people, And honestly, I wish I were as pretty as him.

At least some androgens dress as such, at least partially, to confuse people. They enjoy the moment of confusion and indecision in the pause before someone decides rather to call them sir or ma'am. Most of them don't become offended at being referred to by either.

If you want to get to know some androgens, and other gender non-conformists, I would suggest spending some time in a gay-friendly bar or club, or joining a local allies group.

I work with 2 gay guys at work (on hates me for some reason, I've never done or said anything to or about him) and the guy that well, is androgynous. Zso far what I know wabou thim is that he goes to college, he is majoring in art and he loves women's purses. I don't see anything wrong with that, considering I like a good purse myself. :)

I was referring to all the crap makeup on HIS face! Not the way he dressed. Huge difference. He dresses like a man. He did not appear to be wearing a dress in any picture.

A real man would not put all that godawful make up on his face around his eyes or wear lipstick!! I do not know of any real man who uses excessive makeup like this. Also the one photo where he is with his brother he looks casual hence he appears to wear his makeup 24/7 or would lead one to believe this.

And the EMO kids are literally dying out from disease or self mutilations as they are generally bisexual and are overly sensitive about anything. The lifestyle and music of the EMO kids is actually banned in Russia.

Odd, but your name is EMO Princess. And this guy has the look of the EMO kids. Do a little research on Google to see what the EMO kids actually are. I may be an old lady but I am, by no means, ignorant of the ways of the world and the people in it.

And also I find your reddie about not everyone cuts themselves to be quite hypocritical as you stated in your Jan 25, 2010 post about how to get rid of scars

Well, I have scars all over my body (both self inflicted and from accidents). No, I am not asking for help hiding scars from my parents. My parents and fiance know about each self inflicted wound, the youngest of them being multiple months old.

You have all the earmarks of being an EMO kid yourself. Bisexual and a cutter. Right there is 2 earmarks of an EMO kid.

I find you to be a troll. And a 17 year old troll at that. Don't you have any homework that needs to be done?

Actually, I have the maturity not to be a troll. The "emo princess" thing is merely a nickname given to me by my fiancé. He actually is considered emo, but does not harm himself. Google is full of sites that stereotype. Please tell me you aren't an adult. If so I pity you that you feel the need to argue with and insult a 17 year old. As for homework- no I do not. I finished it already. Thank you for your concern though:D

Even the picture with his brother was a photoshoot. It doesn't matter if he's wearing casual clothes, or not. My guess is that the make-up is part of his professional persona and, therefore, he makes sure to be wearing it in all publicity shots, or any other shots taken for websites or promotional purposes. It could also be that he just likes wearing make-up and feels naked without it.

Once again, if he were a WOMAN, no one would question his appearance. You are placing a double standard on him simply because he was born male.

I want to know where you are getting your information on 'emo kids.' it seems biased and poorly researched. I am aware of NO statistics showing that 'emos' are predominantly bisexual, or any statistics about their sexuality at all. I am also unaware of any statistics showing that 'emos' are dying at a faster rate than any other social subgroup.

Also, your implication that bisexuality and self-harm go hand-in-hand is unfounded and highly offensive. You have, repeatedly, made derogatory statements and assumptions about the lgbt community, gender non-conformists, and other social subgroups in this thread. I, politely, request that you either watch your words more carefully, or refrain from posting in a topic you obviously have negatives feelings toward.

Oh well done there you've managed to find one person who cuts themselves, found out they're bisexual, linked it to them possibly being an emo and stereotyped the lot, congrats

:D what? Are you actually suggesting that emo kids die from disease? please tell me what the disease is called

Self mutilations? Not every emo does that, the reasons for people to do that are mostly due to how they feel about their life, also plenty of non emos have mutilated themselves.

Oh and in as far as I can find that just an idea possibly being brought it because of other countries complaining about it and that's just in schools, link please?

I have to say, that looking at his hair in these pictures, hair must be disgusting to touch. All of that hair glue, on the last picture I posted if you look it just looks icky. I think he would do better without all of that. The first one where his hair was down it looked nice and shiney, not caked in glue.
