I got robbed lastnite! I know you probably don't have to ask who was behind that! I was gone to the store for less than half an hr. My door didn't latch again, because dear bro has had more important things to do...like going to the bar maybe....than to show up yet, to fix these things like he was suppose to.

I came home, and had a weird feeling. Something seemed out of place. I brushed it off for awhile, but then I started to notice things. I started to look around, and found out I had money and jewelery stolen, and that my front door was unlocked. It was all of the money I had left until payday, and the jewelery that was taken, quite incoincidentally just happened to be a chain and pendant, that I had made for "N", and took with me when I left. Then this morning, I also noticed that my pain killers were gone too! I can't get them re-filled for another 8 days.

I feel violated! At first I was scared when I finally realised someone had been in here, and then thoughts that there could still be someone here hiding! Then when I ruled that out, it dawned on me, that someone must have been watching me leave. I had taken Niki with me, because she loves her car rides! So they obvously knew that the dog was with me.

The cops didn't show up until about 3 hrs after I called, and then were just useless as usual anyway. They said they were going to investigate, but I know how that usually goes! ;) I think I'm going to lose my ever lovin mind!!

Starby, dear. I'm serious. Come to Florida. Come away for a little while. Get away from all of that.

You're so welcome here. You know that, right?

Thank you my sweets! I was actually just talking about that with my Mom. They are leaving next week to go down. I was stupid though, and I didn't get my passport yet! My bro's girlfriend applied for hers 3 months ago, and is still waiting for it. That's another peeve! When the gov't needs their money, or something from YOU, they have a deadline, and you had better damn well comply! But when they are suppose to be doing something for you, the little person, they will take their own sweet time!

I did have the papers filled out when I was suppose to be going on my cruise, but when I found out it was cancelled, I got lazy on sending them in. So, my fault I guess.

I really appreciate you offering that my Chicky girl, and if I ever get there, I will remember that for sure! I sure couldn't stand to stay with my parents for any extended length of time! ;)

    Big Hugs!

    Chery
Starby... you need to get that paperwork initiated again, and then take Chicky up on her offer. And Chicky, it's wonderful of you to be such a good friend, not all people are that lucky.

What with the police not doing their jobs, and you brother irritating the heck out of you, you really seriously need a change of scenery and feel some warmth and comfort from one who offers it to you. No matter how long it takes to get the passport, or how long you'll be able to spend with Chicky, it's something that you have to do for YOU! Babe, you know that if I lived closer, you and Nicki would be welcome here too.

If you have a copy of the police report, try talking your doctor into prescribing the pain meds for you a little early. I know that that can be a pain, and the doctor might look funny, but he should be thinking about your pain and discomfort - at least call him and try to get his/her help. I certainly have enough for both of us here, but there is an ocean between us. DARN! By the way, what type are you getting? You know it took me a long time to find a med that worked for my back and joints after the diagnosis of fibromyalgia (three years ago, even though I had it all my life but was not taken serious), so I now take Ortoton for this - it might be called something else in Canada, so the latin name is Methocarbamol 750 mg - and works really good. See if you can find something similar and talk to your doc about it. Then of course there is always Paracetamol Compositum (with Codeine - compared to Tylenol3). As a matter of fact, if I were there, I'd even have a talk with Rhonda and see if she could help - but that's me.

Honey, you really need for something good in your life to happen, and I'm going to keep on trying to push you in that direction.. GET SAD, GET MAD, then just GET UP AND GO! For yourself and Nicki - 'cause I said so... '.

    Love you lots.

Thanks Momma C! I am going to find my paperwork and get it sent out, for my passport. I'll send you an email later and tell you what pain meds they are. T3's don't even phase me. I have a very high tolerance for pain meds.

You are all wonderful! Chicky for making such a caring offer from her heart, My Momma C for offering so much of her heart and kindness, when you have so much pain, and so many other problems of your own, Alty for staying on the phone with me while I was freaking out, and managed to calm me down, and Rebby for calling me first thing this morning to make sure I was okay!

All of my family here are always so good to me, and I love you all!

Thank you Cher, I know I need to get the hell out of dodge for awhile. I first have to make sure my house is somewhat secure, and get the things done that are important right now!

    Love you! Mmmwaaaa!

    OK, I'm here to vent.
I have always tried my best to stay calm when some illiterate 'kids' come on here and disrupt threads with their inconsiderate posts by asking them nicely either through a post or via PM to be a little more mature.

Well, this thread had two 'dudes' who were bored and having fun - it irked me to the max - it even went so far as a nasty PM from one of them... So, yup, Chery is really peeved enough to want to slap these little &(/&)(/&'s right about now.

    See for yourselves...

I sent a copy of the PM to Curlyben, I was so mad...

    Thanks for listening

Well... I will have to petition Webster about that (make note to self to do this during my 2 minute break at 3:30 pm... ) and I will offer them my definition... "bad brats thrown out by parents when they couldn't take anymore."

Hmmmmmmmmm... **thought** (Owww..that hurt!) I wonder which alumni to AMHD would be considered "Orphanized" with this description??

Hi JR, glad you came to join us, we're even sillier in the Castle, drop on in, you'll see.

Yes, we are serious, when we need to be, but we really know how to have fun and play around too.

By the way, I see you're in Toronto, I live in Alberta, very close to Edmonton. :)

    Thanks for the invite!

Oooh, I have family in Edmonton. As much I as love Toronto, I really love it out west. I get out there about once every other year, but that's not enough! Hiking up a mountain is sooo much more appealing than walking down a paved path in the Don Valley here in Toronto, lol.

And, your hockey team actually wins sometimes! How do you do it?!
Whenever I think of Edmonton, this video comes to mind. O'Canada!

Wow, good video JR, most people don't know our national anthem, unless they go to a hockey game. ;)

I love the Oilers, even though we haven't won in a long time, almost did a while back, and I actually watched the play offs, I don't usually. It was so sad when they lost, I actually cried.

Yes Stringer, I like hockey, I'm loathe to admit it, I'm sure you'll hold it over my head, but alas, I must admit it, after all, I'm in Canada, hockey is a must. :)

JR, I actually live in a town right outside of Edmonton, it's called Sherwood Park. I love it here in the burbs, good schools, shopping, parks, you name it, it's a great place to be.

I have two kids, my rugrats, Jared (10) and Sydney (6) and I have a zoo. 3 dogs, 4 rabbits, 1 bird and 1 gold fish that won't die, he just won't, he's 4 years old, he cost 26 cents, he will live forever. ;)

We have tons of fun on our little member discussion sites, in fact, we've had so many of them that it's hard to keep count. You see a thread can only go to 1500 then it's closed down, we close down one every month or so, so keep on your toes. ;)

I love going to the mountains, we go once a year if we can, to Penticton with the kids and dogs, the bunnies and others stay home. ;)

I hope you join us in the castle too, if you want I'll post the link here. :)

What Canadian doesn't LOVE hockey? I'm pretty sure it is a law by now...

And, if I counted right, that is 9 pets and two kids! Wow. How do you handle all that? I had a cat once... He died, and we decided no to get another one because he was too much to care for. ONE CAT! The most self-sufficient pet, and we thought it was too much. You, with 3 dogs, 4 rabbits, a bird and a fish is crazy... An animal lover, are you? Lol

And I found the castle, thanks. Lol, I am just reading through it quickly to get the jist of it.

    Alty

Yup, animal lover and a half, I'd adopt more but I think I'm at my limit, so do the neighbours. ;)

Yup, it's the law in Canada, you have to love hockey, if you don't then you better not admit it, you'll be hung in the village square. ;)

Getting the jist of the castle is impossible, things are changing constantly. All you really need to know is that I'm the Queen, Starby's a duck (long story) Stringer is the Sheriff (and he stole my whip) M sits in the corner and watches, Chery monitors us and tells us to behave and others stop in once in a while to keep us in line (that's impossible). ;)

It's a fun place, just watch out for the alligators in the moat. ;)

Starduck (Starby) had a bit of fun with one of the alligators and the result was a crocduck, or Alliduck? Anyway, it's a scary creature, stay away from it, you could lose an arm. :)

Ducky is minus a puter right now, her mean evil brother took it away in the hopes that Daddy could fix it. Kids, we may need to pitch in and get Starduck a new puter, whenever her brother says "It'll be done asap", it usually takes a few years. I know I'd miss her, wouldn't you? With every bullet so far. ;)

Wow, us serious? Hmmm, I guess we do come off that way on other threads, when we need to, but this is our little haven, our place to let loose, let it all hang out (not me, I have it all tucked in) and just have fun.

Oh, fyi, I'm on the phone with Starby, she says hi, welcome to the castle, and the can of worms thread and others, and she says ahem Muwahahahahahahahahahaha! She is sans computer at the moment and she's going through AMHD withdrawl. Everyone, all at once, AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

Okay, now she's yelling, what? Of course it's fair, I'm sorry your puter is mean, it's not my fault, calm down, breathe, drink some beer, don't choke, breathe. Okay, you okay? Yup? You'll be fine, just buy a new puter Starby.

    Jeesh! ;)

Okay kids, I got to run, Survivor is on in 7 minutes, got to grab a beer and find the channel.

Be good kids, I'm always watching. Or be bad, I like that too. ;)

    OK,I'll join in.

My job is getting to me... Hmmm like that has never happened to anyone before.

It's not the job itself(I am installing a hand split shake roof on an 1860's barn)It's the customer that is doing all the stresses.

He is my fathers diabetic doctor.
She is a nurse in the local ER.

I was referred for this job through the local lumber yard,All good so far.

It began with a 3 week delay due to the timber framers being late for erecting the building(was taken down and trucked to site)much less they were dragging their feet completing the project.

The customer(SHE) began calling me daily as we had a schedule situation to address due to the delays. She began to say how she felt about the framers, statements made to her,she felt were inappropriate, then she accused the foreman of being(her words)passive/aggressive.

I know of this man and father does also,we never thought of him as anything more than a good hard worker.

OK,so she asks me not to come to the job until the framers were gone,as to avoid confrontation,so to speak.NO PROBLEM

When day 1 came to set my equipment up and prep for starting, she states that the framer came to her and asked if something was wrong? she said "I Let loose on him",telling him how she disliked him personally, how the delays were unprofessional, and how she would never be a reference for him or his outfit.

When I did start the job,she would come out and ask questions, talk freely, even to the point of bugging me(I never let her know that though.I thought-just an inquisitive customer)

By the time I completed half the job all was well.

Now(since last week) she and her husband haven't spoken 1 word to me or my helpers. We have been there while they were home(including today)I have made myself available to them while they were in the yard, not 25 feet from me,waved and said Hi,got no response, not even a nod.

This, I feel, is passive behavior on both of their parts.

This is a copy of how she treated the framers.

I am preparing for the shoe to drop in my direction now(OK maybe I am being paranoid,, butt who nose?? right?)

I'll complete my project(weather permitting) by Wed.

On another part of this property(50 feet from my job) another contractor is building a very elaborate horse shed( a copy of a Norwegian church, really nice,on paper) I think he is in for a nasty time with this customer.

She has shown to be the passive personality twice, and aggressive once(I have yet to hear the venting).

Hmmm, what to do,AFTER getting paid, ask her to visit friends in the psych. Unit and look up the meaning of passive/aggressive behavior?

    I wish.

    Ok long story, short ending.

I'll pipe in every so often and say HI(and hope to at least get a nod from someone... lol)
