This is an easy one for me to answer. But it wasn't a specific quote or moment. For me my life changed after reading The Great Imposter, by Robert Crichton. The book is a biography of Ferdinand DeMara (you might recall the movie with Tony Curtis int he title role). The part that really affected me was how he managed to convince people he was what he was pretending to be. His method was fairly simple. If you look and act like you belong, then people will accept you as belonging. At the time I read the book, I was a shy, introverted teenager.
