Westnlas I hope you understand that had you used force against an officer in the situation you described, you would likely have ended up with a long jail term and other life-long consequences. Police can put their hand on their gun any time they want to, but they can't draw it unless they have cause to do so, which I didn't see in the circumstance you described.
Rather than decide that you are not going to let an officer put handcuffs on you and to use force to prevent it, the reasonable thing to do is to go along with the program and seek a legal remedy for any misconduct you feel occurred at a later time. Wrongful arrest and detention or use of force can lead to some big bucks.
