Yes , the mind is a powerful source, I believe like vahid , did that I can be whatever I want... :) :) :)
Now that is not to say tha I will not have bumps ahead...
Yes you WILL TURN light, if you are whoppi'ds color.. BUT EXPECT, IT NOT TO GOO TOO SMOOTHLY, AT FIRST, BE PATINET, FOR I LEARNED HOW TO BE, SINCE ALL OF THIS I HAVE BEEN THROUGH TO GET IT..
YOU GUYS JUST Don't UNDERSTAND, I HAVE BEEN THROUGH SOME CRAP TO get this mono.. and it must be meant, for me to depigment, since, I ran into a USA supplier... like some devine intervention or something... lol...
And if you do it right, and get it mixed right..
If you can get one to mix it in a lab, the better, you have to go in it with full caution

If I was not going to depigment, I would be right up in the line to use the chemist PURE ALPHA ARBUTIN POWDER...
But I don't want to to waist more time(not saying his alpha arbutin, is not pure, and good, and won't lighten well)
However, I want to just finally depigment once and for all..
    And I am .

A lot of you don't want to hear the truth. Because you just want this to be a perfect world where nothing can go wrong. Well it's not. You'll have problems worst than dark skin if you keep using monobenzone. It's that simple. I'm willing to bet a lot of you are young. So you think you know it all. Well I've been down that road. And you better believe it's going to take way longer than 1-2yrs to depigment skin that estimate of time is for people with vitiligo. Now imagine using this stuff and becoming spotty, and disfigures . But hey, more disfigured women in the world. Lessens the competition. Which is the road that a lot of you are heading.

So by all means use it . But ffcor those who CARE about your skin since it's the largest organ of the body. Consider other methods of skin lightening. Because these people on here are heading some where that you don't want to go.

Having lighter / white skin doesn't give you the life of easy. Or everything will just fall at yoyr feet. Because you will still have the same problems, situations, like everyone else YOU ARE NOT IMMUNE.

And if the reason for lightening your skin is to get a man to love you. And the only reason he's with you is because of your artificial light skin. Guess what? THAT LOVE IS CONDITIONAL.
do know this i will continue to inform people of the dangers of using monobenzone on normal skin. and if that bothers you then simply don't read my post. see how simple that is.

So if you think I don't know what I'm talking about. Simple don't read. And that way you can live ina world that you want to be in . Full of fiction that is.

When youn get through I am from the south, and black guys/ are verrry racist, moreso then the whites.. in the USA!!!

    and where are you from?
so whatever, get off a board for people who are lightening their skin!!!

Actually Sheralcorw the reason why I am on this forum is because I was a proffessional tennis player for years in my teens and played in the sun without sun screen so as a result my face is 3-4shades darker than my body.

My body is caramel-cinimon while my face is milk cocolate. So I am trying to get rid of all the discoloration from the sun on my face to go back to my ORIGINAL comlexion which is a dark caramel. So I am not trying to be someone I am not. I love my original skin tone. I don't desire to be white or super light skinned, I am very happy with my normal complexion and I don't have a low self esteem. I love the way I look and I don't feel inferior to people who have lighter skin than me because that is just pathetic.

The reason why men are not attracted to you is not because you are dark but it is because they can sense that you have not confidence in yourself and you want to be someone you are not.
I live in Florida (the south) and I have black guys hitting on me 24 7. too bad I am not attracted to black men. My Husband is white, he is a A&F model so he is super HOT and he finds me sexy. So do 99.999% of men. So don't tell me that your ldark skin hinders you, it is just your lack of self confidence that turn men off. ;)

    Cough, cough...

Anyway, to the members that are interested in not bashing me, like these people...

My mono is stinging less and less each time I use it..
    I am so happy!
    No adverse reactions thus far...
And I have only used it 1 time a day,
So this weekend I will move it up above my knees(the mix, )and I will start to use it 2 times a day..
Oooh I can not wait to move it to my face, but that will not be for at least, a mnth .
    I am so extatic..

Anyway, I will continue to post my results..
I am thinking of buying some alpha arbutin from the chemist, and wonder if I can use it on my face , while I use the mono on my lower half?
    I don't know.. '
    Until then...
    Stay tuned.!

I am not interested in bashing you. I am just trying to make you aware that having dark skin is not your problem because there are many dark people including myself who lead very normal lives. Like I said I have never been descriminated because of my skin tone.

If you're so dark and happy being dark, then why do you INSIST on being in this section of the forum?

    The... SKIN LIGHTENING section?

Oh wait let me guess... you just want to "lighten dark spots", huh?

Actually, I am on this forum because I want my face to get back its natural and original color. My body is a dark caramel color and my face is a milk chocolate. My original complexion is like Kim porter and love it! It is just that I played tenis in the sun for years and now the skin on my face is darker and duller. So I am not trying to bleach my skin to become someone I am not. I am not going to risk my good looks, use mono and become disfigured like gloomy. Im not that desperate, there are other less drastic ways to achieve lighter skin unless if you trying to change your race. I am not trying to stop you from using mono, you can go ahead, but I garontee you will wish you never messed with it.

I am not trying to stop you from using mono, you can go ahead, I was just responding to sheralcrows comments about dark people not being able to get men, jobs etc. which is a bunch of BS.
The reason why men don't like her is probably because she has no self confidence in who she is and that is so unattractive to men.

Oh please, men typically favor lighter women (whether some of them will admit it or not).

In every single culture, the man is dark while the woman is light. Of course there are exceptions, but this is ideal in every culture.

I'm not saying dark isn't or can't be beautiful, because it is... but let's face it, the majority of people don't think that (particularly in the case of women)--and the world does not run that way. Having light skin IS an advantage--romantically, socially, politically, and financially--whether you want to admit it or not. You can be in denial all you want to. But that's just reality.

Are there beautiful dark people? Of COURSE! Are there successful dark people? Of COURSE! But let's be realistic here--these people who are dark and admired and successful in life are totally outnumbered by those who are not dark.

It's perfectly OK when a pasty white person wants a tan to be olive-colored, but when someone wants to be LIGHTER, everyone just freaks out. What a double standard. That needs to change.

    He sweetheart!

See, I already had 700 grams of mono from anil..
THAT ONE IS MIXED, I then had the oppurtunity, to get another pound of it from the usa supplier.
So basically I have now 2 pounds mixed, for my personal use:) :)

    I like anils mono, also..
It is just the fact that there are too many problems getting his into the usa.

Anyway, yeah but by me knowing the chemist personally, well, through my friend with vitiligo, I can just place my order with him, and get it within a week:)

    VICKY-D, I see you girl;)

Okay, we get you and gloomy's point..

we will be disfigured for life:rolleyes:  .. lol...
    I sooo beg to differ...

I want to know hat you and gloomy are getting out saying this over and over again..

if the world was not really discrimatory, then no one would want to change their skin color...
however, we, all know what most men prefer.. '
    lighter=better, in their eyes..
and it is not just men, perse', it is women alike..

I know one can still make money if they are burdened with darker skin tones, however, I know too many aunties, cousins , friends of the family who are dark skinned and professional making a lot of money.. (mainly women)...
and on Saturday nights, and around the time it is time to kick it, and party.. '
they are also the ones looking lonely, sad , and bitter...
and they aren't ugly, they are just darker ironically, then the aunties , cousins friends of mine who are lighter skinned toned.:) :)

And yes, many dark skin women are pretty, however they are usaually the 5'9 , types, who are thin as heck(models)...
or the ones who are the booty girls in the vidoes...
not all dark skinned girl, have big bottoms, as their ticket to find love?
and not all are 5'9, and boney to be supermodels.

However, you do tend to notice, most "AVERAGe", looking girls, who are short... but the differnce is they are lighter skinned, or diff. race, which usually is what makes up for their average bodies, and height.<<<<they tend to be the features in the videos, or what not, or considered dimes..
thanks to their light skin privileges.
    now, am I lying?

And honestly, I think all these people who keep posting saying "love your self",
Would be the first ones to jump at the call of a new skin lightening cream that will indeed lighten their skin shades, like 3 or more shades lighter...
These same people who are telling people not to use mono..
However, the only lightening cream that will even come close to lightening in shades is alpha arbutin, and that will not last forever like mono...
And you too have to get that in powder form, so it would not be diluted down, with the other perservatives, like that in say, japanese lightenin creams...

Also, if all of you are so pro black or what not.. '
Then do you tell the thousands of girls who wear weaves, that they are denying their race, or whites who tan, like there is no tomorrow, that they are..
Or the people with a large bnose who opte for nose surgery, that they hate themselves, or the girl who gets lip injections that they are hateing themse;ves..

    Well then leave us alone!
This, transformation that we are going through with will help us, and we believe it will ,so that is all that matters!!

Everyone does something's to enhance their beauty..
Burnettes, dye their hair ti blonde.. why?
    Because "blondes have more fun",
    And so on...

    Let us depigment happily, okay!

this is incorrect because white people tan to look darker, not because the are discriminated against if they are pale so your theory falls apart right there.

Maybe the reason why I don't experience this type of discrimination is because I don't hang out with ignorant black people. I was born and raised in the suburbs and all the black people I know are all educated well of people. What you are describing sound like gheto mentality. MY best friend is very lightskined because her mom is white but she is not as pretty as me. Every time we go out I have way more guys hitting on me than her. Black and white! Because I have confidence in myself and I don't have an inferiority complex.
I know there are some people who prefer lighter and some prefer darker. I have the same preference. I prefer white men to black. That's Just my preference it doesn't mean I don't find Black men attractive, I just prefer white men.

St Louis? I lived in Kansas City for 3 years and never experienced descrimination for my skin tone. I though you said you lived in the south?

That's fine, lighten your complextion, I have no problem with that. I am just saying don't feel inferior to light skinned people. Men like pretty girls with nice bodies no matter what complextion they are. So if someone is ugly and they don't have a nice body, getting lighter skin is not going to help you get more men.
I am Kim porter's complexion originally but my face is darker from sun exposure so I am trying to lighten back to the cinimon complexion of my body. I love my original complexion.

    Hey SassyT

I definitely agree with you. I am a dark skin female. But I get a lot of attention and mostly by fair skin men. White men and hispanic men. And all men do NOT favor light skin women. Maybe a large majority of black men. I am too trying to slightly lighten my face(safely) because my body is verrry fair skin but my face is dark like kim porters/naomi campbell. I don't want to be light skin because I do like the attention from men from other ethnicity.

Sheralcrow you mentioned about most of prejudice/color issue mostly comes from black men. And you are right. I agree with you about that. This has always been an issue from the beginning of time. But it is something that they feel insecure about inside of themselves.

It may sound cliché that "you guys need to love yourself"(not saying to stop lightening) is because no matter what you do to yourself, you will always find something else to dislike about you. That's why it always begins with loving you first.

Finally! Someone who agrees with me! You are right, it is mostly dark skinned black men who like light skinned women. Most of the Black men I get attention from are light skinned. I think dark men who descriminate against dark women just have a complex about their own appearance and some times it is just a preference. Just like some men like women who are thick and curvey and some men like women who are slim and slender. So what?

So my advice to sheralcrow is open your eyes and stop limiting your male options to the few ignorant black men in your community. I am no lying when I tell you how much I can't get men to stop hitting on me and Gnies just agreed she has the same experience. My Husband even hates going to the club with me because guys(all races) just hit on me and they don't care that my husband is right next to me.. lol

gneiss, what are you using to lighten your face?

    Hey Sassy T

I am using Makari Night crème. I also exfoliate with vitamin C face polisher and olay glycolic acid+ amino crytals polisher twice a day. I use a 10 %glycolic toner and 5% face wash. (I just started using the glycolic toner and face wash for one week) I am still looking into the peels which I will be getting. I have lightened one shade(probably 1 1/2).

I believe it will be a long process before I can ultimately achieve my 2.5 or just 2 shades but I am okay with it. I am willing to wait and not mess up my beauty. Anything that has value will not be easy and will take time.

You must be , like super beautiful, and black...
because I am attractive, however down here, like I said they are hella racist/discrimatory, ecspecially the black men.

St louis is the mid west not the south.

Yes I did live in Kansas city and like I said I never experienced descrimination because of my skin tone. Yes I am attractive and people do say I am beautiful but again I don't hang out with the ignorant gheto crowd so I am sure that makes a difference.

Even if a black guy doesn't find me attractive because I am dark, I couldn't care less because 1. chances are I don't find him attractive either and 2. I know that there are billion of other men out there who find me attractive. So just because I a handful of men don't like my skin tone, does not mean I am going to lose myself confidence and feel inferior.
So Sheralcrow, if you are going to lighten your skin do it for the right reason, don't do it to please a bunch of ignorant black men when there are plenty of other options.

    P.S
I have a gal who does my hair who is Sudanes so she is blue BLACK and her boyfriend is a super cute latin guy. So if she can get a man you have no excuse.

I am using Diana Stalder whitening cream and the kojic papaya soap. It is also just lighten me one shade and I have been using it for almost 3 months. But my skin is smooth and clear. I am also not in a rush to lighten because I want to do it right. I want to lighten 3 shades on my face to match my body. I was thinking of trying this product below. It is very potent because it has about 4 lightening agents and it has all natural ingredients.

    Hey SassyT

I am definitely inclined to try diana stadler.

Anyway, the peter thomas roth potent looks interesting. I saw it before. I am not to sure if it has enough stuff to lighten. But you won't know unless you try.

I am going to try to get a referell from my doc so that I can go to the dermatologist. Because some insurance would pay for some peels.

Let me know how the peel goes because I have thought of getting one.

The Peter Roth has a lot of stuff to lighten. DS only has Kojic acid and licorice while PTR has Azelaic Acid, Kojic Acid, Bearberry Extract, Mulberry Extract, Ascorbic Acid (vitamin c) which are all lightening agents. Most products only have 2 active ingr. this one has 5! So it is very potent. I will let you know how it goes when start using it.

    Hey Sassy T

One peel does nothing. I have to do four-six peels to see the difference. So by the beginning of May I should see some results.
