    Hecuba was paris' mother.

Oenone is his lover... at least his first one. That whore.

I originally thought it was Helen, which doesn't fit, that's when I came up with Hecuba, although I have been known to be wrong. If it is Helena then the Window on a corbel starts with an E. Ahh, it's driving me nuts.

I just saw the page count on this thread... Do you all realize that we have 57 pages of coffee talk? And pretty much ever post in this thread is about or relating to coffee... wow...

    I'm duly impressed...

Paris LEFT his wife (and I want to say Oenone is right, but the spelling looks wrong to me) for Helen of Troy, as part of the deal for choosing Aphrodite to give the golden apple to.

    Wow. You are chatty today.

Bring on more crossword stuff. I LOVE doing the crossword.

Oh, remember, all the letters that I provided are from other answers that I already wrote down, they may not be right. In other words, if you can think up a word that fits but not with the letters I posted then go for it, I might be wrong, it's been known to happen, often.

I'm pretty sure you're right about Natty.

    Invisible eminations - "auras", possibly?

Med sch. subj. is generally anat. In crossword puzzles, but it's best to get a letter in there before you fill it.
  • Mar 17, 2008, 11:13 AM

Love auras, I was thinking along a different line.

The things going through Med. subj. are nasty and I don't have many letters for them either, but here they are (this would be easier if I could make a crossword and post it)

    Clue: Hindu mystic writings. Answer: _ _ n _ _ _
    Clue: Cleanliness. Answer: _ _ g _ _ _ _
    Clue: Feudal tenants. Answer: _ _ _ _ _ ls
    Clue: Tex and Thelma. Answer: R _ _ _ _ _ s

Remember, the letters may not be correct, the number of spaces are however.

Vassals, Vielen Dank (lots of thanks)

Did you see the ones above those?

I'll leave you all to it, I've got to make some lunch for my sweetie, she's being such a good girl today, almost makes me want to have another one, almost.

I thought hindu mystic writings would be sanskrit... but not enough spaces. Hmm

Med school class... COULD be anat but it could also be... a lot of others:

    Phys (physiology)
    Hist (histology)
    Path (pathology)

    Or, Stargate...

Well, a flambeau is a torch. And I can't come up with anything in my brain that works with that ST in the beginning.
  • Mar 17, 2008, 03:58 PM
    Alty
The St starting the word for relative of a flambeau comes from.

Risers (last letter starts the flambeau) clue: Staircase elements
Atkinson. Clue: Rowan a.k.a. Mr. Bean

Risers works with other things so I'm pretty sure it's right, so does Atkinson, but I'm open to suggestions.

How about Stick, for Relative of a flambeau?

Love Karasea, it works. Also, Anat works because of Vassals.

Is any of this making sense?

    More?

I'm loving the e-crossword puzzle, Alty. What a great idea! Sadly, I can't help you with any more... I'm good with words, but have a mental block when it comes to crossword puzzles! Sudoku I can do. Crosswords leave me feeling dreadfully inadequate!

Hey M! Nope. Was waiting for an email and am in my apartment community Business Center... got to love a clubhouse with a cappuccino machine! :D

I have access to a computer with internet, just not in my apt. Sadly, I have to share this with pimply teenagers (the same teenagers who created the need for a blocking service!), middleage YouTube surfers, and us Puritans that don't have connections in our apartments!

So far, I'm the only one up here, but that may change in a few minutes!

    Type fast! :D

Hey HChicky, I didn't expect to talk to you again today, what a pleasant surprise. I love sudoku as well, but I find that the crosswords keep my brain from going to mush. After all, I'm a stay at home mom, the only mental stimulation I get is talking to a 9 and 5 year old, oh and my husband who can't spell and has trouble remembering my name (kidding).

Hey F4U, I'm following you around, scared?

Yup, here I am, until the pimply face rascal comes to claim the computer... either him or the airheaded bimbo...

Sorry - I think I need more coffee... sad... very sad... :D

I know, I know. It would cure me of my couch-potato-girl-ness... although, I'd just become internet-surfer-girl at home, too! Rah...

You're such a sweetie. Hey, how are the plans for the coffee, coffee, coffee, barbecue coming along? I'm picking up dog poo everyday, the yard should be ready my June, July at the latest. Summer in Canada is actually pretty nice. You all coming here for a visit? How about you F4U, can you make it?

I'll supply the burgers, the rest can be pot luck. I'll buy some sudoku puzzles and we can watch my dogs beat up Sneezy's dog. Fun and entertainment for all.

Hey Synnen, if you want to borrow my kids when you come for the barbecue let me know, I'd love to go out with my hubby, we haven't gone out alone together in, my god, I can't remember how long it's been. That means it's to long. Sigh.
