It seems to be safer than cigerettes and a lot of other drugs so why does everyone seem to hate it so much? People should focus on other drugs that do more damage..

Your premise is incorrect. 'Everyone' doesn't hate weed. The people in power and some of the gov't lobbies are mostly who keep it from being legalized at the federal level.

I realize you asked this under Teens, but as a teen who can use a computer and the net, you shouldn't make sweeping statements. I responded without facts to back up what I said, but I'm about to go to bed, and this isn't a legal forum.

Regardless of it's effects or whether it's better/worse than cigarettes, weed is still an illegal drug.

You're still inhaling a hot smoke into your lungs, regardless of what the smoke comprises.

Most manufacture often adds other drugs at times.

It is bought from drug dealers who normally sell other drugs.

The purchase is often from groups tied to killings and other crimes

It is still illegal.l

If there was a vote, most likely it would pass for legal in many states, a lot of people would like to see it legal.

But with that said, our government needs something or someone evil to fight or be against.
So today it is the drug lords

You clearly need to do more research on this subject.

I can't stand weeds. I try to make my lawn look nice and then what happens? Weeds pop up and make it look crappy. Just this past spring I laid down stone on my driveway and it looked great... but then what? Weeds started to grow up through it. I hate weeds.

To be honest, I believe it should be legalized in every state.

That's just my opinion.

I don't hate it at all. When my mom was going through chemo and radiation, weed helped her through the pain, the nausea, it was a life saver. Well, not a life saver, since the cancer did kill her, but it helped her through a very rough 10 months of misery.

I do have to say, seeing my mother smoking weed, it was a sight I never thought I'd ever see. You'd have to have known her to understand how shocking it was. ;)

I'm all for legalization of pot. If it's legalized then the whole war on drugs is a moot point. The drug lords won't become rich off it (although they'll still have the heavier drugs like heroine, cocaine, etc.) and frankly, it's safer than alcohol or cigarettes.

In other words, no, I don't hate it. So who it this "everyone" that does?

I don't know who this "everyone" is either. I didn't hate it way back when when I smoked it.
