I look forward to the time that she returns to this site! She's really needed and missed around here! Her being gone has created quite a void here!

    Thanks!

I agree Clough, however even before she went into the hospital this time her time was very limited by her health condition. She has very little energy now.

Hopefully this will change God willing.

I am on the phone now with Chery, I will be back after we are finished, Marta is talking to her presently.

She is still Chery... love it... spunky, and she sounds good! And she is looking forward to getting home this Thursday. :)

She sounds great, her attitude seems to be good, she is really looking forward to 'getting the h*ll outta here!'

Marta and I spoke with her for about 45 minutes. She has to be very careful now so that she doesn't have a fall and she will be uncomfortable for some time.

We covered everything from the weather, some politics, her operation, her health, some politics, AMHD (and how everyone is wishing her well and hugs), too again 'getting the h*ll out of here and going home to her family and Larry (her cat).

I am pleased that she sounds so good and 'spunky.' (Best word I can think of to describe her today.)

This is a picture of the statue that was sent to chery in the hospital.

    Thank you very much M.

The statue is about 8 inches tall and is made of porcelain. Jamie said that she loves it.

Thanks to all of you for your help and letting Chery know that we love her and care a lot.

Just received and I must share it with everyone:

    Quote:

My table has not been delivered yet and my arm hurts too much to type much until it is here, but I want to let you all know that I am back and doing as well as can be. AND... to thank you all so much for your prayers, love, and support received throughout my long, enduring and painful hospital stay. That's what I got for getting radiation therapy for my cancer that spread to my bones and letting my hip break... but am better now, at home with my cat and family and my internet. Your messages to my daughter to pass on to me meant so much and I am sure it helped me recover all the quicker -25 days in hospital was enough and I do not plan on doing that again. I love and appreciate you all so much, it's beyond words. You make me feel so special and loved and I want to let you all know that the love goes both ways.

Thanks again. I will write more in detail once I have an adequate table to put my laptop on.

    Love and Hugs,
    Your Chery.
P.S. I will check in on AMHD and read the thread you created - you make me so humble. I will also reply there and include some new pictures as soon as I can.

She kept me company in the hospital and was a joy to look at each time I opened my eyes.- so precious.

Thank you all for your wishes and prayers, again and again, I feel so blessed to have you all support me with your love. I should be able to respond in more detail once I get an adequate table to fit over this remote-control bed. Jaime did such a great job in getting this place ready for the new furniture - she worked her but off for three weeks. Plus worried about her hubby in Afghanistan, me in hospital, and raising my grandson on her own for a while until Dad comes home. I think she will need a well-earned vacation after that. They will also be working on a brother or sister for Alex as Jaime lost the baby she was carrying in July. I am so proud of her and the patience she has with me and her son right now - as I complained about a few things while in hospital and expected her to bring Alex almost every evening after whe was done at my place and picked him up from Kindergarten. She is such a jewel - I really don't know what I did to deserve her... or all of you, for that matter. But I am glad and feel totally blessed and loved. All of you keep me going. Thanks so much again, my dearest friends.

    Talk to you again soon.
