How do you disable the FN lock on gateway laptop it is working like a numlock however there is no numlock key only the Fn key

Depends what model u have, but should be

Fn+scroll or
Fn+padlock (f9)

I have a gateway keyboard also stuck in numeric mode, but I cannot find the fn button.

What about on a Gateway NE56R?

For Gateway NE56R I found it in a boot-up option called SPECIAL KEYS mode.
Reboot the PC, press F2 before the installed OS loads, and change this option (follow the menu dialog at the bottom of the screen to navigate and toggle the feature settings) then SAVE your changes and boot up.
