I've done ALL 3! I'm 36, not impossible for someone to have had more than one career change, I'm so sick of having to explain myself.

Yesterday you were selling cars. You made a career change overnight? OP's writing style is very familiar to me. Has anyone checked on other user names?

I find this site to be very judgemental, and very rude. I will no longer be posting, or visiting this site. For someone to accuse me of signing on as a different user is uncalled for. I came on this site looking for help, and all I've gotten is criticized for having different jobs, at DIFFERENT times. I really thought this would be a great place to come for advice, but apparently all people want to do on here is be mean and hateful.

I'm confused about all the job things too, but I used to work for a tele marketing company selling long distance plans that would get billed to the customers VISA. Very hard sales. One thing I found that helped was to ditch the typed out call flow, and talk to them like people.

It helped to really back up what I was selling, the thing was it really would save people money... as long as they paid their visa bill...

I believed in what I was selling, there for people believed me.
Although I guess it didn't hurt that my bosses used to say I could sell snow to an eskimo.

I also used to sell news papers over the phones, what hateful job, I didn't back up what I was selling, so I din't fair as well there.

My very first job was at 15 for Time-Life, selling magazines. I too quickly dropped the canned spiel and did much better without it. Good suggestion!
