    Weight Gain
I was wondering if anyone could me some advice on how to gain weight in the most efficient way. I eat like a horse and most of it is carbs and proteins with fruit and veg also, yet I'm still thinner than id like to be. I have a feeling it might be because I'm eating foods that speed up metabolism or use up energy faster like coffee and beer etc. Could anyone tell me if they've had any miracle weight gain programs/diets, and also what foods to eat to slow down metabolic rates. Im no dietition, but I do know that if you eat a lot, you should put on wieght. With me though this is not happening. Any help? Thanks

    * Haha sorry, just to get this straight, I don't eat like a horse, and do in fact eat stuff other than grass and fibre based foods. The animal that was meant to be used was pig

No need to slow down your metabolism... it'll slow down on its own later. It really depends on what you eat, your genetics, and your daily activities. I suggest adding some "healthy fat" into your diet such as avocados (GREAT for gaining healthy weight), nuts, fish, chicken, etc. Try to add a bit of exercise into your plan as well.

Your metabolism is high right now and I'll bet you are young (under 25). Just wait, you're going to have a metabolic change in a few years and then can't take OFF the weight. Be content now about your weight as thin people tend to live longer than overweight people ever will.
