Oh and I do have a 98 Second Edition CD at home but was afraid to try and install it, of course since my drive is not working properly I propably would not be able to that anyway.

Thanks Scott, I assume that answer was to me. So it doesn't matter the two operating systems are different format?

It shouldn't. I've had different versions on the same network sharing resources.
