    Cant connect to wireless router
I have frontier as my ISP, with a westell 7500 wireless router, a dell inspiron ten mini notepad, but it will not connect. Frontier told me to use the WEP numbers but that doesn't work. Dell told me they can help for $239. Is there some type of block on dell computers or what?

$239 is ridiculous. OK, what happens when you try to connect? Can you see your wireless networks SSID, the name you've given it?

If you can, what happens when you try to connect? When you enter the WEP code what happens? Are you sure the code is correct?

Have you ever connected via wireless to this router OR have you ever connected the Dell to another wireless network?

Ok. We'll break this down into sections to furter diagnose your issue. When dealing with a situation like this we first want to check the physical devices before we mess with configurations of any sort.

The two devices in question is the router and the laptop.

    Router
    A) Is the router plugged in and configured correctly with WEP?
    B) Is the router broadcasting (can you see the SSID)?
    C) Make sure you take note of the WEP key to ensure you're typing it correctly.

    Laptop
    A) Is the laptop indeed Wireless capable?
    B) Is the wireless adapter working? (have you connected to other wireless networks before?)
    C) When you view available wireless networks, do you see yours?
    D) When you try to connect does it give you an option to type a WEP key or does it error before then?
    E) If you can type a WEP kay are you typing it correctly?

These are just some simple guidelines to narrow down where the issue is coming from. If you would include in your next post what exactly is happening then we can further assist you. Right now we're just taking a shot in the dark as the issue wasn't clearly explained.
