I can't remember this movie on TV. I think it was in the last 1970s or early 1980's.

It was a famous actress. She attained powers and when she touched people she could heal them. People would come all over for her touch. I remember the scene at the end of the movie. A little girl was in a car and she was sick with cancer. She hugged the little girl and knew she would be healed. Of course the mother and daughter didn't know.

There was another scene before that where she was seeing a man who started freaking out with her powers and started calling the work a devil. He shot her. Then she left and worked at the gas station and that is when the scene above occurred.

I am looking for that same movie. I remember it well except the child at the gas station in the end I remerbered to be a young lad (boy). Looking for the movie in DVD but the Name would help.

Resurection 1980 doesn't seem to be the one but I will check it out.
Brysten really does a good job in everything she does.

It is not resurrection it is called the healer the woman doesn't die she is paralyzed after an accident. She first learns to heal herself then others. Retreats at the end from the public to that gas station and quietly hugs/heals the little boy with cancer. It is hard to find I found it once and should have bought it but didn't and now like you looking again.

From the description the original poster gave (almost three years ago!) Cat1864 is correct. The description matches the synopsis for Resurrection perfectly, except it was a little boy, not a girl at the end.
