Here's 5 of my favorite movies!

    1. The Neverending Story
    2. Sleeping Beauty
    3. The Basketball Diaries
    4. You've Got Mail
    5. Untamed Heart

It's definitely hard to just pick 5 off the top of your head, since I'm a big fan of so many different types of movies, but these are just the first 5 I could think of! The Neverending Story is and always will be my number 1 though! :)

OOoh - I love these kinds of questions!

Except I could never pick my Top 5 - I'd end up naming about 20!

Instead I'll just go with 5 Top Films:

    2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY
    CITIZEN KANE
    THE GRAND ILLUSION
    BRINGING UP BABY
SHADOW OF A DOUBT (have to have a Hitchcock on there somewhere!)

Now for the REAL fun - looking at everyone else's list!

You're a John Sayles fan, I see, Ruby! I fondly recall discovering THE RETURN OF THE SECAUCUS SEVEN (gulp!) 26 years ago in a Manhattan movie theater.

It's been too long since I've seen A FACE IN THE CROWD. (Especially considering it's a chance to look at Lee Remick - hubba hubba <g>)

I play the theme from FARGO every time I do a movie music program on my radio show.

'Tis true Bill, I am a John Sayles fan but I am a big fan of others as well. I knew there would be movies I didn't think of when I responded and there are so many as we both pretty much said. I am a big Hitchcock fan. So hard to pick just one but Shadow of a Doubt is among my top too. I also thought about Citizen Kane and 2001: A Space Odyssey. But, I thought I might keep it a bit more current and try to base it on what Midnight Angel might enjoy with her husband, based upon what her list was.

Other good ones that came to my mind was The Stranger, with Orson Welles, Edward G. Robinson, and Loretta Young (that was a gorgeous woman too)! Loved that movie. Another oldie but goodie is Arsenic and Old Lace! I loved the whole cast in that one. Quirky doesn't cover it! :) One that never got the play and attention it should have was The Grey Fox with Richard Farnsworth. Cinematography was amazing. I am a big Coen Brothers fan. I loved Oh Brother, Where Art Thou! I could go on and on,.

Let me tell you something, Mark. You humans (most of you) subscribe to this policy of an eye for an eye, a life for a life, which is known throughout the universe for its stupidity. Even your Buddha and your Christ have quite a different vision but nobody's paid much attention to them, not even the Buddists or the Christians. You humans... sometimes it's hard to imagine how you've made it this far. - Prot
