Re that same Star-Ledger contest, I keep seeing different references to the cemetery in THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY.
Is it Sad Hill cemetery?
Or Sand Hill cemetery?
Thanks!
It's Sad Hill Cemetery.
Anybody make any progress on #72 regarding the father & son & what was Zeebo's dirty job in Mockingbird #54?
He was the son of the family's housekeeper and was a garbage man.
Thanks, Mister VHS. Now, if only someone knew the answer to that vexing question 16 about the classic horror film that was novelized three times.
They will not give it up. Been on other boards and some claim to have it but everybody is tight lipped. Like I said in a previous post - this will be the question that makes or breaks a winner. There is one every year! The contest creator is very tricky!! Clues are hidden all over the questions to other answers. It is amazing... But coming to the end now... have to finish up and find 16 and get it in before Wednesday!!
I WANT TO GO TO LA!!
I'm thinking John Carradine for ALEXANDER'S RAGTIME BAND and Keith Carradine songwriter for I'M EASY from NASHVILE. I'm pretty certain but not definite.
I believe it's HAMLET. Hamet dropped out of college and returned home after his father's death. :o
Becareful this is a trick question... there are two dates given in each movie... I've been told this but haven't verified it yet. One is on his tombstone and I'm working on the other.
Did'nt Zeebo come to take away the dog that Atticus shot?
I'm 99% sure this one is "Bride of Frankenstein" (#16)
Anyone have answers to 17, 18, 19, 25, 31, 37, 43, 44, 49, 52, 53, 54, 61, 66, 73, 74, 76, and 77?
I have some of these but would like a second opinion.
I have most of any others will be happy to post what I have (no guarantees though! LOL)
Thanks
Joe
54 - Zeebo was a garbage man, but this answer sounds better (rabid dog that Atticus shot - right?)
=======================================
Here's a couple that you are looking for:
17 - Preston Foster
18 - My guess is "Cotton Comes to Harlem" - can anyone confirm this answer?
66 - all played Vikings (see above)
74 - Bridge on the River Kwai
As for your answer for 16 = "The Bride of Frankenstein".. . Sorry, but it doesn't sound right to me. The Frankenstein story was based on Mary Shelly's book - so it was already a novel before the films. Anyone else have an opinion?
I'm still seeking 33, 52 and 76. Will trade any other three for them (send me an email to [email protected]). Thanks.. .
According to the question for 16, it says "already drawn from a literary source" so that makes it seem there was a novel before the screenplay...
For 33 I am going with Keenan Wynn... he fits all the criteria
Thanks
Does anybody have the answer to #71 about "The Red Shadow"?
The Scalp Hunters
From the films of Roy Mack
http://members.aol.com/MG4273/mack.htm
The 1932 Mack version uses the nickname of the hero, known as "The Red Shadow", as its title. The hero's name was changed in the 1953 film version to El Kabar. I've always suspected that the Quickdraw McGraw cartoons in which Quickdraw assumed the role of masked hero El Kabong were parodies of this.
It appears that half of you think it's Keenan Wynn and the other half vote for Richard Jaeckel.
I don't like either of them. Can anyone give me the definitive answer for this one? Thanks.. .
I only went with Wynn cause the question had the "high-profile" clue in it, and since the Lindburgh kidnapping was a "high-profile" case and he was in the TV movie... I went with Wynn (based on my logic :D )
I went with The Scalphunters also based on this link...

I saw the movie and it is correct.Quote:

Besides Keenan Wynn and Richard Jaeckel, did anyone consider these actors? Eli Wallach, Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson, Robert Ryan, Ben Johnson, James Coburn, Warren Oates, Cameron Mitchell
